This is a 1939 Chevy Master Deluxe Sport Sedan. I wanted to build an old car that wasn't a sports car or a muscle car for a change.
About this creation
I got the idea from the hinge piece I used on the hood. I saw this and said to myself, "this looks like a 1930's hood ornament."
Then I was trying combinations of curved slopes for a possible roof and decided they would work better for the back of the car to get the aerodynamic curve these art deco styled cars had.
I used some parts with side studs to attach it to the back of the body of the car.
Then I set the wheelbase so I could have the dual spare tires and the three side windows that the real car has.
The fenders are another variation of the "pontoon" style that I used on the 1950 Chevy truck and the 1936 Auburn Speedster.
