Starfighter 3
"Starfighter 3" is a racing/rally machine made for a HispaLUG competition.
About this creation
This is my "StarWars meets The Jetsons designed by Ferrari" participation in a local HispaLUG Space-racers/rally competition.
The model was build according to several specific rules; 2 man (or droid) crew, no obvious armament, only normal rocket propulsion, and some other restrictions...

My design bets on speed, acceleration and maneuverability above all.

General view;

General view from behind;

View of one of the über-big fuel tank + rocket;

View of the array of sensors, antennas and retro-rockets, between the stabilizers;

View of the crew and interior;

View of the bottom;

View of the "secret weapon" (now not so secret...);

Thanks for watching!

Quoting Eric Landreneau As if Spacemen Spiff's ship met the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop.
Thanks. I had to look up those two references. I have only superficial knowledge of Calvin&Hobbes, -and the Cowboy Bebop I had never heard of. Having seen them now on Google, I quite aggree. Cheers!

A paragon of retro-future design! As if Spacemen Spiff's ship met the Swordfish from Cowboy Bebop. Your design choices are great! Love the "functional" looking support bits showing through the main red fuselage, like the girders, making it look like a descendant of real spacecraft.

Great out-of-the-comfort-zone build, and fun. Nice to see the classic logo bricks on something so modern :-)

What an unusual build from you!! And when you're not on US'towns or on Cadillac, you're even doing so great!! I love the design, the front details, the thrusters and the main frame. Brilliantly made!!
