Modified by His Dark Majesty Sauron, this Steam Cave Troll packs a mighty wallop. Armed with a 7.62 mm Maxim Machine gun, arm spike, heavy iron shoes, and nasty attitude, Steam Trolls can chew through the ranks of Middle Earth Armies with relative ease...just don't try to give it any complicated orders!
About this creation

Steam Cave Trolls are some of the most powerful weapons fielded by the Armies of Morodor. Although little could be done to improve upon the trolls' dull intellect, heavy weapons and polarized lenses have greatly enhanced the trolls' battle capabilities.

Orc armorers have overseen the mounting of Maxim machine guns on Steam Cave Trolls right arms. This gives them a devastating weapon to use against Middle Earth Troops. However, the amount of ammunition that can be carried is limited, and the firearm itself is prone to jamming.

Armored, spike implants provide some degree of protection from threats such as nimble Elf Scout Troops. The ammunition canister attached to the rear of the Maxim can clearly be seen from this angle. Orc engineers are given the hazardous job of reloading the canisters in battle.

Once the Maxim machine gun runs dry, the Troll will then switch to it's surgically implanted spiked-arm...a vicious weapon at close-quarters.

Each Steam Cave Troll has been outfitted with an armored cage about its head, protecting the Troll's primitive brain from grenades or impact weapons.

A retrofitted Cave Troll next to an Orc Bagpiper, whose high-pitched music helps boost morale to fellow Orc troops...and drives the Troll into a battle-frenzy!
Background info:
First off, I apologize for not keeping abreast of all the latest LEGO news, gossip, and creations from my favorite builders. I tore a ligament in my shoulder, limiting my chances of getting into the US Military; as a result, I've been struggling with depression lately. Still, I have a lot to be thankful for: I'm still working steady, I've recently found a new hobby (knife collecting), and since I will be around NJ longer than expected, I am making tentative plans to participate in this year's MocAthalon. It's good to be back, folks!
