Lore: The SATRV (Squad All-Terrain Reconnaissance Vehicle); or simply labeled as the ‘Goat’, is a all purpose lightly armored all-terrain vehicle often deployed with infantry, cavalry and special operation teams. These vehicles also excel in urban locations where their size and maneuverability allow them to easily operate in the tight unpredictable environments of developed areas. The Goat can comfortably seat six individuals in the interior cab, with space in a rear truck bed for additional passengers and cargo. The front passenger seat is equipped with a RWS control system allowing the operator to directly control the weapon station mounted on the roof. These RWS mounts are highly versatile and allow for the arming of gatling guns, machine guns, grenade launchers, light anti-armor cannons, and ground-to-air or ground-to-ground missile/rocket batteries. Several variations of the SATRV exist, some models lack the truck bed and increase the interior seating to eight, and a medevac version allows for a full life support suite for two injured soldiers. The SATRV utilizes a central tire inflation system and auto-bond dispenser to immediately plug and re-inflate tires that are punctured during combat.

This multipurpose vehicle was introduced as a supplement and eventual replacement for the ageing AIT3 APC that has been utilized by Colonial Ground Command since the first Border Wars. Like AIT3 it is fully NBC protected, and can easily be air transported and retrieved making it an ideal platform for special operations missions. Without preparation the Goat can for up to 1.5 meters of water, and allowing the driver direct control of tire pressure it can easily clamber over obstacles that would present a challenge to other wheeled vehicles.
