Category: 15. Brick Noir.
Foggy streets and mysterious figures, trench coats and fedoras, and cigarette smoke that seems to have a life of its own. Build a scene based on the dark crime films from the 1940's.

Detective Simmons: Say pal, can you direct me to the head o' this joint?

Clerk: The Boss? He's sittin' on the bench.

Simmons: Excuse me sir, you the owner of this place?

Boss: Yeah. Care for a cigar?

Simmons: I don't smoke.

Simmons: You see mister, I seemed to have misplaced my watch when I was gettin' gas earlier. Mind if I take a look in the back?

Boss: I may be blind, but I ain't stupid. Beat it!

Simmons: Honest! I got a date with a dame in twenty minutes and I gotta have my watch!

Boss: Scram! If ya don't I'll call da cops!

Simmons: Oh, well it just so happens...

Quoting David Roberts Great lighting and photography effects, plus some nicely built details too. I especially like the truck and the old fashioned petrol pump that its being fuelled from in the last photo.

So many great details here, from the roof to the truck. The lighting effects worked well. I've got a few minor complaints, like the garage door, but overall a very good MOC. A solid 4.
