"news report from febuary 9th 2013" Today in the Company, head of the department of advanced mechanical automation was pleased to announce the final prototype of the Vangaurd armsuit, MkI. The undeniably effective mechanical monster was designed to demonstrate vast amounts of power a heavy mech could bring into a combat scenario. Its primary payload includes 2 Autofed 160mm Genotide railguns, and 2 ballistic missiles. Secondary weapon systems include 2 40mm Advanced tactical submachine cannons, and a 20mm Gau-81 minigun. A main concern with mechs was that because they stood in an upright position, armor couldn’t be as heavy as a tracked tank. Besides the Vangaurd having more sloped armor in the front than most tanks, and an advanced hydraulics system to support over 400 tons of armor, It still seemed necessary to include a SECT-02 magnetic countermeasure system. SECT systems use high power magnetic waves to deflect most missile systems from mid air. They suck up 40% of the vehicles power, making the rail guns go offline, but protecting the vehicle from attack. The focused magnetic waved have even shown to hold small shoulder fired missiles in mid air upon attack. This system of cource cant protect against railguns, MBT shells, or airstrikes. We expect to produce 70 units within the first two months of release.
About this creation

"fourth wall"
This project I worked on for a good week, for the most part I spent the time playing minecraft. By the time it was nearly finished all that was left was the legs. At first I tried big fat legs, but didnt like how they looked, and settled for these.
I think I should be more exited, I wanted to build something like this since I was 8 years old "ten years" but then consider I went to post this around a week ago, and then the image uploader stopped working again, a second time!

Thanks for viewing, comments & criticism, are appreciated.

Hello mr squid, I really like this mech, especially the head, very much like a tank. I also like the way you've presented it with the photo shop main pic and the company name. I think I'm going to do a rebrand of my first mech when I post my new one. Your mini figs are really cool too and I like the little flag droid

I've got to hand it to you, this mech has some extremely impressive detailing and structural design, and on top of this actually looks fairly believable for a mech. Awesome job!

Didn't realise you we're measuring the strength of the legs. Is it just me or does it look a bit like a promethean knight? If the railguns were arms and it had a face. It has the large upper body, the right stature and those wing like hatches on the top where the watcher comes from. Still, great build. Should help us with the war.

Nice mech! The guns are great, and the greebling is pretty good too. The only thing I'd change to make the legs a little longer, they look a little short to me right now. Overall, great work, and keep it up! :D

Quoting jack kenyon Loving the design and building techniques , especially the drone at the end. Looks formidable, but four hundred tons of armour? Brian Kescenovitz's foundation class mech is only 200 tons and even with depleted uranium armour, this isn't big enough for that weight. Unless you meant four hundred mm of armour, which is well within possibility.
Thanks for the comment, of cource it doesnt weigh 400 tons, what I meant by that was it could support 400 tons, it doesnt even weigh 100, more like 90 something.
