Alright, so here's the next rig in the line-up! Engine 4 is a 1994 Seagrave J 6 man cab pumper. A little history behind this engine. Engine 4 is the former Engine 3, and with the new Seagrave being placed in service at Engine 3, the former one was rotated to Engine 4 to replace an aging Ford C/E-one engine (which you may see soon in yellow (; ).
Engine 4 sports the departments black over red color scheme and is powered by a Detroit Diesel engine with an Allison automatic transmission. The rig has a Federal Q2B siren mounted on the front on the apparatus, as well as Grover air horns on the roof. The lighting on this engine include Federal Signal Aerodynic lightbars on the front and rear, Federal signal strobe lights, and a mars light mounted on the front.
Engine 4 carries the standard engine company equipment and carries two lengths of hard suction hose and an extension ladder mounted on the sides of the truck. The engine has a short bumper, a rear compartment, low hosebed, and an arrow stick. Engine 4 has a 1500 gallon per minute pump and a 500 gallon water tank. Foam is done through and inductor and 5 gallon pails.
In the cab there are SCBA holders, siren controls on the driver's and officer's side, and a center consol. I'll eventually find some yellow SCBA to throw on the hooks lol.
Minus the yellow headlights, would do you think? I tried shooting for an older simple piece of city apparatus without too may bells and whistles and I think I got pretty close!
