Blackbrick Creek Brush 1813
About this creation
Alright, well this is my secret project I've been picking away at for awhile that I just completed recently actually. I think this a really sweet unit that took some planning and lots of trial and error on my part. This unit completes Blackbrick Creek's fleet of units. Brush 1813 is a 1984 AMC M35A3 bought used from US Military surplus in 2005, and was refurbished by a local company. The truck was painted to company colors, had the rear bed rhino-lined, had a tank, pump, and booster reels added, as well as emergency lights and sirens. The truck has LED body flashers, a Federal Signal Aerodynic lightbar, airhorns, and a Federal Q2B siren. The truck has a 500 gallon water tank and a 250 gallon per minute pump, the rig carries foam in containers so if foam use is desired, it can be added to the water tank. The rig carries brush firefighting tools, such as rakes, brooms, shovels, pulaskis, and forestry hose. There are portable pumps for water supply and to pump out basements, and medical equipment for R1 (first responder) on EMS runs and firefighters on scene. This truck has a small bed for forestry hose, rolls of 3inch for supply, and coils of hard suction hose.

If I was feeling debate-y, I'd ask what color the normally-yellow mining equipment was that made yellow fire trucks stand out! Haha! Either way, great truck. I'll go back to staring at it some more.

Quoting James Kontoules Beautiful, beautiful truck! I love it! Excellent work! I've been around a while, and this is one of the best I've seen! Just curious though, why is Blackbrick's scheme yellow? You've piqued my interest.
Thanks again James! I love the way this rig turned out too, and Blackbrick Creek earned its name from a the local coal mines, the rigs were painted yellow so they would stand out against all of the construction machinery and trucks. I hope that makes sense.
