Lightsaber Bookends
About this creation
My third entry into the 2013 MocAthalon Team Theocracy.

Category:

23. Bookends
Design a pair of wickedly cool bookends. Show them off holding up your library of Barbie Fairy Princess books, or whatever you read.

Even the book is lego. :D

So for my bookends, I built Mace Windu's Lightsaber burning through the books! Unfortunately, the handle is a little heavy, so I have to use trans-clear pieces to hold it up. :/

It is surprisingly very strong, so It can hold heavy books as well. Enjoy!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Matthew

That is so undeniably cool - I would totally buy one of those! Kudos on the creativity that went into this. BTW, have you considered putting a LEGO Technic Axle through the middle of the blade/handle to strengthen the structure?

Quoting Everyone
Thanks all for your kind comments! Much appreciated!
Quoting Wes Pitter I'm loving this Bookends category so far. But I can't take any credit - you guys are out-doing yourselves. The melting metal sold it for me. 5 points.
Thanks Wes! Thank you for the great score! Cheers!
Quoting Ru Corder I love the idea, but I think if you put more books in the middle it would have been better, the blade would have looked longer. Still, a solid 4
Thanks Ru! Yeah, it might have looked better, but I ran out of room on my poster board... :/
Quoting Lee Muzzy great job! Were did you get all the purple bricks?
