The Eta-2 Actis fighter was produced by the Republic to replace the Jedi Order's aging Aethersprite interceptors. Most famously, the Actis saw action in the Battle of Coruscant, in which it played a major part in freeing the kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine from the hands of Count Dooku. If I was a Clone Wars Jedi, this would be my fighter. This Eta-2 Actis was also my first major Star Wars build. It only had about 330 pieces in it, but it was at least 30 cm long and as wide, and 25 cm high when on its stand.
About this creation
The engine thrust jets. Sorry about the blue technic elements; over its display lifetime, this side always faced the wall!
A rather fuzzy photo of the pilot's controls.
Here it is beside a good-sized book, so that you can get an idea of its size.
The wings were fragile and often broke off, but they were easy to re-attatch.
