I wanted to get a chance to look at the original before commenting. It took me a bit as I have been busy & traveling. I never played/built with these CS sets like all you guys have.... What! A Parrington redesign with NO women... oh this can't be!!! Yes, you kept it classic! Cheers! :)

A great upgrade, I would have liked to see a more modern approach to this set. Still a good 4 points. ~Thoy

Did you bribe the judges to get all your favorite categories this time out? If so, great job mate! If not, then way to go anyway! Keep on swinging for fences my friend, you're hitting home runs from where I'm sitting.

Ha ha!! Excellent idea!! Great entry here: the idea to add an extension to the LL928 is very smart. You kept the CS feel of the late 80's: very well done! I just would have wished more pics to appreciate(about your new moon station for example).

I was kind of expecting a SNOT build but I figured that's not really what those classic sets are about, this is very nice, good luck with the judges.

It's a bigger, bolder, more detailed version of the classic. Like Barto said, great that it keeps to CS building style and techniques.

lol, I bought it last week, a used collection, 4 cs sets, as soon as I have time, I promised a cs mobile command center, I m thinking using a baseplate like you did on the ship, it was so neat! yours is supercool, it makes my purchase itch my fingers, sight, but, I still have a lot of work with meedass, later, love your cs s parr!

Well, as I was about 90% done with the construction in MLCAD, I realised some major flaws regarding piece/money count, stability and portability! So I think that Iīm going to have to completely rebuild from keel to top. *sigh*

Quoting El Barto ! Wicked! I like how it's still within the realm of the original sets' construction, and not an entire SNOT rebuild. Looks like it could be sitting on the shelf right next to the others, say, thirty years ago. Good luck with the judges!
Exactly what I was going for mate. It's only two studs wider and about 10 longer. Glad you enjoyed it:)

Quoting matt rowntree Truly a man after my own heart. The 928 was my favorite set growing up (I can still build it from memory). This is a great reimagining. Love the shape and the wider body. I also like the improved rover. I did an upgraded version I think you may be interested in seeing (The Ecosse). This is really a cool version.
Matt, the Ecosse is an absolute master piece!
