Space Mess: Episode 1
My new comic series: Space Mess. Episode 1: Oh Lunch, Wherefore Art Thou
About this creation
This is my first episode of my new comic series, so enjoy and I'd appreciate all constructive criticism. The images are a little large, so if its difficult to read on the MOCpages settings please just *middle-click* (open the link in a new tab) the picture and read it like that. There are 8 pages so its a little longer then I intended, but oh well, what can I do, I went overboard I guess ;)

Thanks for reading!!

Quoting fuzzy wuzzy Flare how do you get good?? i guess practice. But how do you start a model? and what are your techniques? and do start over sometimes? I need inspiration. Please help me!
Hi there. First off, thanks for the compliment, personally I do not view myself as such a good or advanced builder. Anyways - how did I "get so good"? Lets just say that its a lot of experience. I've been a part of MOCpages for over four years, now. When I joined I was a pretty rotten builder. I don't know what your builds are like but its unlikely that I was any better than you. I just build things that are interesting to me - currently I find much interest in sci-fi and medieval fantasy. Although I haven't built much recently, it is still evident by looking through most of my creations. This comic was created because I wanted to do something fun sci-fi-ish. Sometimes if you don't know what to build, and you really really don't have any inspiration, the best thing is just to start tinkering around with pieces. Another thing is to maybe join contests, they can give you inspiration. Hope that helped! If you need more ideas or help then let me know!

Quoting El Barto ! Feh! Content shmontent. I've had plenty of violent scenes in my series, and Chris never said anything. I believe they're more concerned with other adult oriented issues, if you know what I mean...
Yeah, alright then. I guess I'll have to include some more violent scenes just for you :P

Quoting El Barto ! Nice work on this! But I was really expecting a flesh eating tribble.
Thanks. And sorry. At first I was going to have a monster that ate people's pants, but I thought that food might be a little more appropriate :P Flesh eating tribble might happen, but I was going to avoid putting a content warning on any of the episodes, you see...

That is a whole lot of work! All the stages, the posing of the figures, the editing, and post photo effects... Wow. It really paid off. Good clear photos, and a humorous narrative that ties them all together quite effectively. Well done. See you at lunch. Attack!

Thanks everyone! :) Hopefully the next episode will be up on Sunday, if not just a little bit after...
Quoting Justin M Great story! I can't imagine the effort you probably went through to edit all of those pictures. Can't wait for next week's episode! :)
Thanks! Actually, almost all of the pictures were added to the comic straight from the camera.

This is great Flare! The pictures are all really crisp and clear and the speech bubbles are really professionally done. After just one episode you have started to develop your characters. I like it.

This is great, really. The only thing I could note is that the chewbacca officer looks a bit odd, given that the side of his torso is a uniform, but the fronts and backs are fur. The wording, readability, and humor are great. I hope you continue.

Great clean builds and a humorous story. The premise of a Star Trek parody on MOCpages is great. My only issue was the appearance of the MagnaGuard Droid in the corner of the storage room, for a second I though the droid was eating the food and it took me a moment to understand the joke properly. Other than that though this is a promising start to a new series.

You should make episodes longer and with more subtle (and less permanent, like names and stuff) Star Trek references. Also, you have been building too much castle lately - spaceships do not have randomly positioned air-vents. Also, you did not capture sci-fi aesthetics well. Not that it is not funny, it is just too little alltogether.

Haha, nice story! The build is great! The only fault is in the phrase "Wherefore art thou lunch?". The phrase is from Shakespeare's play, "Romeo and Juliet". Juliet says it, saying "Wherefore art thou Romeo?" She isn't wondering where is Romeo, she is wondering WHY is he Romeo, a Montague, her enemy. So the wording on the title should be changed a bit. Just a little fact and tip! :)
