"A STUDley Crew"
Category 15: Brick Noir

"The smoke rings gently drifting to the ceiling on a migration from my mouth were cut short as they hit the ceiling fan was like the unfortunate soul that is Frederick Parker. Three days ago he was found dead in a back alley, three .38 rounds riddled his skull. Poor chap was only 19 years old. No doubt I would get a call soon from a desperate friend or family memeber begging for justice. After all, I am a private eye. Serving justice is what I'm known for."

"The clicking of heels on steps snapped me out of my trance like state of mind, and into my office burst a young woman, about 5 foot 5 in her heels. She was pretty and on other circumstances I might have attempted to charm her, however her eyes were red from crying so I decided against it. Just as I suspected she was the girlfriend of Parker desperate for vengeance."

"She asked if I could track down his murderer, and I replied that I would try my best, but nothing is certain in this world and I needed the full story of what happened."

"She then went on about how they had gone out to dinner and he went to go get the car after when she heard gunshots around the corner, running into the alley she found him lying there, dead as a doornail. She yelled for help and soon the police arrived. They said there wasn't suficient evidence so there was nothing they could do, and that is why she came to me."

"She asked me if I would take the case, and I nodded. She quickly dissapeared, leaving a stack of bills on my desk."

"Staring out into the pouring rain, I began concocting a possible explantion for the events the occured three nights before. I wondered what sort of sick twisted being would take the life of innocent man. Knowing that out there in the cracks and shadows of the city lurked a vile killer, I grabbed my hat and coat, heading out into the shadows myself, ready to swiftly serve justice with a cold hard bullet......."

Well there you go folks, I'm not completely satisfied with this build because I feel it resembles others of mine, but just so you all know I didn't have the intention of doing that and I tried to keep it as original as possible.

The thing on top of the filing cabinet is an old telephone.

The thing on the wall is a tack board for all you who didn't understand it.

I am new to this floor technique, however I think it compliments the paneled walls and the floorboards very nicely.

What happens next? Who knows...?

Thanks for viewing everyone! Comments and criticism is much appreciated!
