About this creation

Team Super Moccer TFOLs
Category:7. Rube Goldberg machine.
Create a working contraption overcomplicating a simple task. Think of Rube Goldberg's crazy contraptions, the game Mouse Trap, or the Lego Great Ball Contraption. Show a video of your contraption working.

This is the Automatic Tea Sugar&Cream-adder and Stirrer! Simply place your cup on the pad and it all happens automaticly!

When a mug is placed on the pad, it pushes down on it and a lever. The lever pulls a string, which goes around several pulleys, then pulls on another lever that launches the rubber missile, pushing the cream&sugar containers up to dump in the cup. The counterweighted arm then swings the arm back down. Back to the string, after pulling the lever it goes around another pulley and pulls a support out, making a hammer knock a weight off a ledge, pulling open a gate. This allows a marble to roll down the track, where it hits a string and pulls down a catch. This releases the stirring arm to swing down in the cup. When the catch falls down all the way, it pulls another catch that is holding the upper weight. This weight falls down, unwinding a string that makes the stirrer spin around. When the weight gets to the bottom, it lands on a plate, which pulls the stirring arm back up, finishing the process. Then you are free to remove your cup and enjoy!

It looks terrible but it works great. Thorough testing helped keep do-overs to a minimum (10 tries to get 2 videos-not bad at all). Yes, it does fling stuff and make a mess, but hey, it works good.

It sounds perfectly complicated, but it goes too fast. I really like it when these devices draw out the action. I so want to give it a perfect score, but a 4 feels more fitting. It's a very high 4 for me.

Marvelous contraption. Even though it looks a little funny looking, it is a noble sacrifice for functionality.

Note to judges. You should watch the videos several times, each time watching a different part of the process. Otherwise, it's hard to see what happens.
