D-50C Loto
A transforming Mobile Suit.
About this creation

The D-50C Loto mobile suit was developed specifically for colony warfare. Equipped with radar-absorbent panels on most of the exterior, the Loto was nearly invisible to most forms of electronic detection. Able to infiltrate most colonies through service tunnels while in tank form, the Loto could then change into conventional mobile suit mode.

The Loto was always equipped with quad-pod missile launchers in each arm, along with a small sub-arm manipulator. Optional shoulder armaments ran the gamut of available fixed weaponry, but usually were a pair of Heavy Autocannons. Due to the complexities of the onboard systems, the Loto was designed for a pair of pilots; one ran the mobility systems and arm weapons, and the other was a communications/electronics/mounted weapons officer.

The complex mechanism that allowed it to change modes was quite expensive, thus the Loto never saw mass production like the GM frames did. The few that were produced were purchased by the Special Operations arm of the Federated Earth Sphere, and were put into use on Black Ops teams for colony warfare.

Nicely done! I think that it is a superb build with a very neat, nifty, and awesome feature. I like it. Once again, well done!

Quoting Brick Boy Not to put you down, but the tank mode actually is a real tank. And is not, a robot sitting on its legs. -Brick Boy
I respectfully disagree :-) The Loto's tank mode is essentially a robot sitting on it's legs, it's just used as an alternate method of mobility. There are tracks in the legs and attached to the back of the Loto to enable this.

Quoting Thomas Z. You beat me to the punch! I had plans for this in LDD, but I ran into a lot of trouble with the transforming mechanism. It's awesome, especially the way you made the legs. Any chance for a pic of the rear? Btw, if I remember correctly, the Loto was smaller then the avarage Mobile Suit.
It is supposed to be smaller, but since I build on a shortened scale anyways, it's only about a head shorter than my GM's. I can take a picture of the back, but I'll probably stick it on flickr... MOCPages is a bit odd for me on the editing pages side :-P The treads are from the new little Chima set, Crawley's Claw Ripper. I got two of them specifically to do the Loto. The wheels they use are 2 bricks wide, so I just put a technic pin with stud on each side and they built into the legs nicely.

Quoting Brick Boy Not exactly transforming, but still really cool. -Brick Boy
While it's not exactly a true transformer, it does exactly what it is supposed to :-) Based on the Mobile Suit from Gundam Unicorn. See here: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/D-50C_Loto
