For category #3 in the 2013 MocAthalon: Alien Landscape.
"In the near future, advances in space technology lead to groundbreaking discoveries far beyond any we have seen before. In the distant reaches of our galaxy, life is found flourishing on many new-found planets. This museum display depicts just a small taste of the thousands of new species discovered. This small, bird-like animal lives in the harsher desert regions, feasting on the meat of the translucent, cactus-like plants that are plentiful in that region. Acid water holes are also present in this harsh climate, which are necessary to the bird's survival, but deadly to some other animals."
This display features an interactive display pad, a full representation of the landscape, and a model of the native bird.
