This is my very personal Lord of the Rings Chess Set:
Let me introduce the characters:
The Baddies (Black):
We have the two Towers, the Ringwraith as Knights, the Berserker Uruk-Hai as Bishops (we call them "Läufer" in Germany, what means "runner"). As kings I go with the Wizards as there is no bad King in the story and Sauron is bodiless. So we have Saruman on the bad side. With him as queen is Galadriel. Also, there is no bad woman in the entire story, but Galadriel seeks for the power of the Ring, that's why I picked her. I know, they are both white (on the black side), but making them black wouldn't really make them recognizable.
In front, as pawns, we have the Uruk-hai army.
The Goodies (White):
the towers represent the towers of Helm's Deep, the horses speak for themselves, we have Legolas as Bishop (yes, two times), Gandalf as king and Eowyn, the King of Rohan's daughter, as queen.
The pawns are represented by the Hobbits. Each Hobbit shows up two times.
After the game you can store the figures in the two drawers on both sides of the game board.
