This is my attempt on building tow truck.
I based the MOC on International 4400 tow trucks serving highways in Illinois.
Tow truck are quite popular among Lego fans, so i've tried to include unique features in this one. First, it is fully remote controlled model of truck, meaning it is capable of picking up, lifting, towing and releasing another scale model without manual actions from me or someone else. Second, it is strong, the fork can handle about 1Kg, which means weight of towed vehicle can be around 2Kg. Additionally, the tow truck has remote 2 speed gearbox with first gear designed for pulling something heavy.
However, I had to sacrifice authentic look of the fork for functionality and strength. In the result the fork looks bigger than it should be, and all internals are visible from outside.
Other features includes: suspension, openable doors, narrow fenders (which is sometimes hard to implement in lego). Total: 5 M motors, 1 XL motor, 3 IR receivers, one 88000 battery box. Video avalaible on flickr
Truck has axle front/rear suspension with Watt linkages. I used two soft shock absorver in front, and four hard ones it rear. Front suspension is quite soft, like showed here. Rear suspension is hard and holds under the weight of towed MOCs well.

Steering system that allowed narrow fenders is inspired by LPEpower videos. These videos are amazing!
