After the long grueling process of developing the worlds first 7th generation fighter, the Traxxus military export committee saw the potential marketing benefits of actually selling 7th generation fighters. The committee turned to the reliable Samual-Koenig division of the Traxxus Marava district, and entrusted them with the blueprints of the XT-80 Shadowhawk. Alongside some of the best and brightest engineers and scientists on Traxxus island, they modified the Shadowhawk from its original form to meet a more realistic military goal, supermaneuverability. The Shadowhawks original tri-engine design 3-D thrust vectoring design provided incredible maneuverability, but the wings were designed to surpass mach 4 and still wingload, which Traxxus designers deemed unnecessary for combat. Therefore, they went with an experimental wing design, which involved a standard swept leading edge, as well as a forward swept trailing edge, which allows the Shadowhawk to reach very high speeds, yet still have great low speed maneuverability and stability to go with its thrust vectoring. The wings can also configure for speed by canting the canards to be equal to that of the wing surface, and canting the general wing surface higher, similar to the XT-80. For more reliable air to ground support, engineers have added an M71 gatling gun to the nose, however the job of close support is more highly recommended to the Skyraider. All that set aside, the SK-120 retains all of the same features as the XT-80 prototype including engines, avionics, A.I, and power source.
This fighter looks absolutely amazing from most angles, although I do think it seems like the tail is almost too long. Anyway, the missile bay being on top is not a good idea as you already know, and there is no need for the third thruster in the back since you can simply rerout the scramjets. Anyway, fantastic work!
These are even better than the Gen 7 prototype! They are even closer to teh design I am trying to recreate with my Gen 6.5 fighter. I have successfully recreated 3 skyraiders on my own production and am using them for tech breakdown while the 15 you sold us are fighting. This is a superior design and I see why they served Gaufran so well.
