Sevla, Guardian of Light
Meet Sevla, the Last of the Lumi, the Guardian of Light, and my first self-MOC. Yeah!
About this creation

Hello everyone! I'm fairly new here and don't have anything to show you...apart from the crown jewel of my MOCing career.
This is my first MOC to be posted here on MOCPages, and it's also my first self-MOC to see the light of image sharing websites lol.

I'll try to be brief, but it's kinda hard describing your best MOC to date!

Note: I'm also testing out the uploader to see how efficient it is. Apparently, not very :P

Meet Sevla, The last of the Lumi, the Guardian of Light!

He's a brave army infantry commander/strategist who does not shy away from a fight. He is a master of the halberd and curved daggers, and possesses a wide array of combat tactics at his disposal. He's very also brave and gallant, some of the very few qualities that adorn the wonderful character of a true Lumi warrior.

This valiant commander was mysteriously teleported away from his home planet, amidst a fierce battle that left his planet torn asunder. He awakened from his unconsciousness to find himself drenched, washed up at the shores of the islands of Daxia. How he reached the Matoran universe is still a mystery.

Overall, this is, in my opinion, the best MOC I've ever had the chance to build. It's the first to incorporate pearl gold, since I never really had any pieces in that color. Interestingly, this MOC is made from a very small selection of pieces, due to the fact that I am away from my main Lego collection (which is in Saudi Arabia), so I bought some here (Sheffield, England) just to keep myself occupied at uni.

The pieces this guy incorporates come from the following sets:

Vezon and Kardas
Razcal's Glider
Kai's Fire Mech
Scarox
(Some connection elements from) Furno XL

I am currently working on revamping him, giving him slightly better proportions (taller, fix the hands, etc) and fixing a few of his armor gaps and such. But I am pretty pleased with how he turned out, and he's likely to remain on the shelf for quite a long time after his makeover :P

Note: this creation features in BZPower Member "Phantom Terror"'s epic "whose name I seem to have forgotten".
I have designated an alternate-universe-kind-of-arrangement for this guy, so feel free to be creative if you have any ideas, and I might be able to include them in this guys tale.

So there you have it! My first MOC here. That wasn't so bad!!
Feel free to post any comments/criticism/story contributions, etc..

And as the Germans say,
Aufwiedersehen!

Cool design. It's just a bit rigid for his size, and it may need better proportions. Sometimes "taller" doesn't automatically mean "better".

The head and chest areas are amazing! But I too think the skirt/loincloth is kinda eh. The rest is pretty awesome though, great work, especially considering the limitations you were under.

You would get the 5-rate from me only for that head design, but the enterly MOC is awesome. I love how almost every design on him is so... 'inusual', for example in the overall arm design on the feet. The only complaint I would have is that I find the distance between the two legs a bit large. Anyways, I love it, and it's one of the best self-MOCs I have seen. Magnificent, dear.

Lovely first impression, not gonna lie. Especially considering what you have at hand. Those legs are thin though, really thin, and those arms are a little too long. Really like that hand design though, and that head is really nice. Overall, I really like this one. A really nice entrance MOC onto MOCpages. Well done, and welcome! :)

A MOCer under very similar circumstances, hmm? I, too, am working with a handful of sets here at University - not too far away, either! I'm based in Hull. It's amazing how few sets you need to make something really amazing, and it's clear you've got some serious skill and experience at this too. Glad to see you here! I'll be keeping my eye on you. :)

Hey this is a pretty cool moc like the red and gold, the problem will be the lower arms and the legs don't look really posable. Hope to see more mocs from you :)

Very Good, sort of gives off a samurai vibe. I love this MOC because it gives me a sense a nostalgia (especially the legs) reminding me of the 2005 titan set of Sidorak. The head is also wonderful, I want to know how you did it. And the overall greebling is very nice. All in all, an amazing MOC!

Alright then. The torso, head, and hands are nice. I don't really like the look of layered prefab limbs on the legs. The legs also seem a little thin near the bottom in comparison to the armor of the torso etc., but that may be my preference for bulky limbs speaking. :P

Quoting Instant Noodles Now, I feel that the legs are rather thin. And the cloth on the crotch looks weird, the arms and torso are okay. For somewhat correct anatomy, the hands should be between the waist and knee, and the thighs should be slightly longer than the shins and too long legs aren't that nice. Awesome feet too! Hope to see more of your stuff in the future!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I've already starting working on his proportions (mainly his legs), and am now thinking up alternatives for his loincloth :P I was also thinking of making the waist a wee bit wider and adding some more armor to the torso section, so I'm about to make a Bricklink order very soon. Feel free to make any suggestions for that area if you have any :)

Thanks, Ben! I was kinda hoping for a more critical comment from you because you sorta know what looks good and stuff :P
