On a desolate world, man uses their mighty machines to combat against the invading insect menace, but it was in-fact mans earlier actions that led to their own undoing.
After arriving on a remote but habitable world, they began building their colonies and mining resources. Then they met the bugs, a race of oversized insectoids who lived peacefully on the planet, that was, until man started to destroy their subterranean homes with their mining. Now they fight above ground with man in his machine using power and insects using their flying mobility and toxic sprayers to their advantage.
It's a new planet,
It's a new war,
It's a 'turf' war.
I finally have a moc setup of a mech versus a roughly equal sized being. The whole concept was really of a 'mechanical vs organic' contrast, similar to the one acheived in AVATAR.
The 'good side' here is shown as the human in the large robotic mech manufactured by man. The 'bad side' or basically the misunderstood side is shown by the insect, a natural, organic being that lives off the land and dwells within it.
Not much more to say because the mech is pretty basic but I do like the way I managed to get the bug to look. I'm not happy with the head but the oversized abdominal region and the plating on the rear back I'm quite happy with.
This... this is AMAZING. Possibly the most flawless Bionicle-Technic integration I've ever seen, and both MOCs are mind-blowingly awesome. The designs you used are also amazing, my favorite is the shoulders on the mech. And the bug is a work of art!!!
