It is called the "Space Catfish" because it's large bulky cockpit, the antennae mounted underneath it and the rear fins give the impression of a catfish. This one of a kind spacecraft roams the galaxy in search of an inhabitable planet for it's one passenger and pilot.
About this creation

Both antennae that give the impression of whiskers, on the bottom of the cockpit

The rear. Duplex-drive thrusters for interspace and planetary travel.

Cockpit

Sleek and beautiful. The front compartment is totally separated from the engines.

greebles on top!

Bottom. Rear hatch and the antennae.

landing gear operation:

The little stepladder to the inside.

Some inside of the ship is visible, the pilot's back mostly... There isn't really any interior.

The controls

Some bad photoshop.

I added some pictures to my brick shelf gallery http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=546523 Although they weren't taken under the best light conditions. Ironically the part I'm least satisfied about is the tail section, which I designed myself :P

Quoting Sebeus I I took the libirty of copying this design but gave it a different color scheme (and some other changes). It turned out to be not as good as the original however, so I'm not sure if I should post it. Yet I'd like to show it to you, I'll upload pictures later today. I thought about calling it the XL sonny or something like that ;)
I'm honoured this creation of mine inspired your mind, but you don't have to call it anything as awkward as "XL Sonny" :P Or you could upload them on Flickr and include me in the photo.

Quoting Sebeus I What a jewel, I love the design, I was amazed when I saw the hatch on this small craft, great work.
Thanks! It does look a bit weird when it comes to colours, though. And apparently hatches are becoming a trademark of my designs!

Nice build, and I'd beg to differ on that photo-shop job ;).

Quoting Banana Sniper Very nice! Any chance for an armed gangsta model?
Nah, I prefer peaceful space vehicles. But I have a nice selection of tanks, those pack bug guns :D

This is a great design, and I really like the use of the bubble cockpit. Good work on the Photoshop too!

There are some great features on this little ship. The way that you've mounted the instrument panel is very clever, as is the landing gear/rear hatch. The fold down boarding ladder is a nice touch, something sadly lacking from my MOCs! I like that final PhotoShopped picture too. Neat work.

I love this little guy! I wish the antennae were long and spindly like a real catfish. Other than that, this is a great platform to expand upon. Just don't deepfry it. Mmmmmm, deepfried catfish. drool. Kudos!

What a cool little spaceship! I think the aft view looks the best - great design. The cockpit features are cool too!

Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus the coulours you have to work on more.
This is the kind of constructive critisism I like to see! Will do sir, but my brick palette is kinda limited. Shall try to colour-coordinate as much as possible.

That circle on the top is awesome. Actually, the whole spaceship is, although there are some colour issues that do not work well and some studs where you did not need them. The shape is great, but the coulours you have to work on more.

Quoting Reaper the Ultimate . i'd recommend a more detailed interior. People love detailed interiors
I am aware of the lack of interior, there is none because this ship was more of a tablescrap build, as soon as the outside was done I kinda switched interest to the project that's coming next.

This is cool! I'm very impressed with the landing gear mechanism, it's clever. The controls are nice, but i'd recommend a more detailed interior. People love detailed interiors
