The LL-493 - now in real ;-) !
About this creation
It's always a challenge to get a easy looking MOC into real from LDD... Sometimes you don't think about if this or that could work...

It was a hard work..., but at the end it worked ;-)

One of my favorite pictures

The engines are really hard to hold in position for real - it always looks so easy in LDD...

The canopy open

Through the window you can see the computer on the left side

One last "good by picture"

Hope you like it ;-) !

Quoting Stephan N wow, here you have a very interesting CS ship built. In the general form, it seems a bit uneasy on me ... almost confusing. Very unusual style for a CS, but very, very good
Thank you ;-) I wanted to give it the look of an bug...

Thats not a classic space helmet he's wearing. That is a modern city helmet overuzed everywhere. Here's the real piece;http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=193au The part is called 193au.(just so you know)

Quoting Disco Chicken I like how well you combine new peices with old ones! What set/s are those cockpit peices from?
Thank you ! the cockpit pieces are from the old Blacktron 1 Basis 6987 - look for other sets/colours ;-) there http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2468

Quoting Stuart Lucas I was just admiring this when I saw that you'd commented on my MOC (thanks by the way!) - I really like the cockpit shape, as well as the way the freight container is carried. As you say hard to convert to real bricks but worth the effort! Very nice indeed!
Thanks! But for now i also have to find out, it is also hard to get in LDD what's possible with real bricks... As i worked yesterday on my Project Sulaco - the fu...programm closed!!! I only wanted to turn the hole thing and peng... So i had to delete some of the "strange" position of bricks...

Quoting Dave Benson Yeah, I know. I've been one of those people who just doesn't feel comfortable with authority on my previous jobs. It takes guts breaking free. What do you do for a living?
sounds still good - it's not always easy to break free! I learned industrial mechanic, made my master and work since last year as a segment manager in a company which produces hydraulic. But i'm not only responsible for the worker - i also think about new apparatus to make some processes more safety. And i'M still happy there.

Quoting Dave Benson Mainly gardening for private costumers. but maybe also janitorial work. It's only on the planning stage so far, but there is a market, so we'll see what happens :)
I think mainly important is that you do a work what you like to do! Too many people go everyday to work and get stressed only after getting up every morning only because they are unhappy with their work...

Quoting Dave Benson Cora is doing fine on my top-3 list ;) There's a lot going on right now in my life with starting my own company. So I focus on smaller creations, but I still dream of holding my Cora in front of the camera. That's for sure gonna happen some day.
Wow - sounds interesting! What for a company will it be or what work will you go to do ?

Quoting Alex Sonny The cockpit is just so badass. Love it. You're right though, LDD models are hard to convey to real life without making adjustments...
Thank you ;-) ! I try to think about while building in LDD, whats stable and whats not - but sometimes this or that looks so good to me that i forgot the good old gravitational force...

Quoting David Roberts It's great to see that the pilot has had a shave since the LDD version was published :) Just like outer space, there's no gravity in LDD and I can sympathise with the problems with the engine mounts. This build looks brighter and better in real bricks and I still like the spine of Technic engine blocks.
Thanks ;-) i thought a shaved one is more classic like ;-)
