L.C.S. & weapon systems.
Often seen as the future of naval warfare, the L.C.S. "Littoral Combat Ship" are a class of vessels designed by Lockheed martin, and sail close to shore often incorporating high tech weaponry, and stealth. Lockheart Industries Bladeheart is an advanced stealthy combat ship armed to the teeth with mines, missiles, cannons, and lasers!
About this creation
-

This is the main weapon, a large 255mm main cannon with a range of 100 Kilometers, while not as large as a railgun in range, it can effectively destroy most other combat ships, and is also equipped with a 50 megawatt laser system for destroying low flying aircraft.
It fired guided munitions so unlike a railgun is very accurate even in poor weather.

The AEGIS Close In Weapon System.
It can fire 4000 rounds per minute, and is best at destroying aircraft, and antishipping missiles.

The AEGIS Close In Weapon System Electronic Energy Weapon CIWS EEW
This 70 kilowatt laser system can destroy aircraft, and incinerate missiles.
An advanced algorithm program, and high tech targeting mean this can target 30+ missiles at once, and when one is destroyed it can re target, and aim at the next closest one in .3 seconds.

To strike leathal blows on very heavy ships the Bladeheart carries over 100 Vegabound missiles, these are automatically reloaded, and fired from 8 round launchers.

And of cource It wouldn't be complete without a combat shot, here a Bladeheart can be seen sinking some poor ship.

Thanks for viewing, rate and comment.

Also The laser CIWS is still rendering so a pic of that will be added soon.

Quoting Wombat The Wise Stunning creation and I believe that the shape of the ship is just as beautiful - especially considering the scale it's built in. Although, I too think it's a shame that the weapon systems weren't built to scale with the rest of the ship. Also, perhaps on a bit of a sidenote, the draught seems a bit on the big side for a LCS, as they are supposed to be able to operate near coastal lines and in archipelagos where a shallow draught is a most. Still, a lovely creation and I'm really looking forward to see what you bring us next. =)
Thanks, I'm aware that the hull may be a bit to big for this class of ship, but it was mostly intended as a fun build to pass the time. My next creation most likely wont be as impressive as this sadly, as I need to post an infantry squad for a new wargame group I joined, but after that I will be posting more IRL mocs.

The CIWS systems both look very life-like indeed. I like the parts used around the lens of the laser CIWS. Great work with both the LDD and the rendering.

very nice, just I wish you actually made the weapons systems and those other parts to scale with the rest of the ship, instead of photoshopping them in.

Thanks everyone for the comments, I will most likely be making more ships, and ldd stuff now that I have the rendering software, but am still working on creations IRL.

For fear of having an aneurism, it would probably be best if i didn't do anything frustrating. If I sent you LDD files and such would you be able to do this for me? They add a much higher quality look to all the models.

Quoting Kenji King Cool! What awesome lego computer building application did you use?
Just regular LDD, used POV ray to make the parts photorealistic.

Of course, but you should know the CIWS alone takes 2 hours to render "gasp" So in order to edit a dozen pics I will be on the computer all day, as such it might take a few days.

Ldd to POVray, and POVray. The best part is that they are free! "due note they are a bit frustrating to get started."
