G-14 Gryphon
This ship is normally used as an executive shuttle for Space Police Corps brass, but this example has been modified for capturing street racers.
About this creation
The G-14 Gryphon was designed as a personal transport for Space Police commanders, and has served in that relatively undistinguished capacity for several years. However, in 2114, Admiral Bakersfield of the 3rd Planetary Marines was involved in a horrendous accident after his Gryphon was hit head-on by a racing speeder. Both the admiral and the pilot of the speeder were killed on impact, and the admiralís widow, Lady Cornelia Bakersfield, was grief-stricken.

In the wake of the crash, new laws were passed which imposed severe penalties on illegal racers. To enforce these laws, Lady Cornelia established a special unit of Gryphon pilots to patrol the streets of the major colonies for racers.

To bring recalcitrant racers into custody, the Gryphon is armed with a i9 ion cannon and four BIM "Robin" missiles. The missiles are stowed in the aft cargo hold until they are needed, when both racks can be unfolded and ready to fire within seconds.

Although some racing speeders can outrun the Gryphon, its three tail-mounted fins give it exceptional cornering ability, and its weapons give it a distinct edge over the unarmed racing speeders. Since the unit's introduction, it has had great success in capturing street racers, and the unit's pilots continue to discover new strategies to catch the elusive racing speeders.
