Rhim Encounter
LOG ENTRY: SERGEANT WILLIAM SEYMOUR, 13TH UE INFANTRY 8/17/2142 21:32:13--Iím not sure why Iím doing this. Maybe I think this story needs to be recorded in case I- ...Maybe I just need to talk to SOMEONE...even if no oneís ever going to hear this. Or maybe Iím just distracting myself. It's just...I donít know whatís going on anymore. I donít even know where I am. Thereíre so many things I donít understand, how can I explain anything to you? But this isn't what you're listening to this for, is it? You want the Story.
About this creation

Our troop was camped in the Amazon Rainforest. We were almost to our destination, a compound near Manaus, when something attacked us during the night. No one saw or heard it, just repeated bursts of blue light followed by fire and screams. We found many injured and dead that night.

In the morning, Private Murray and I were assigned to hike ahead through ahead a few miles the compound and retrieve medicine and other supplies to take back to camp. We were probably halfway there, about to cross a little stream, when we saw it.

It was a Rhim, the first one Iíd encountered. Of course, I didnít know that at the time. Iíd never seen anything like it before. It was standing there, on a rock across the stream, like it was Waiting for us.

When it saw us, it started to move down the rock. It moved very slowly, cautiously, with its eye on us.

We trained our guns on it and took a few steps back.

Suddenly, in a flash, it was across the stream, standing right above us. I was knocked to the ground as it turned toward Murray.

Then it just killed him. It cut him down in an instant...

It leaned down at me and said, ďThis is your warning. We are not to be underestimated. Tell your people to return our Property to us, before it's too late..Ē

4th Wall Commentary: This is the first chapter in a series MOCs I'm planning. I'm pretty satisfied with the MOC overall. The writing's a little rough right now, but I'm working on editing it currently.

The entire MOC figless.

The rock. The Riddles for the Rings set was the primary source for the grey cheese slopes on here.

Another view of the rock, from the front.

The stream. I've seen this technique for water used a lot around here, and I like the effect.

The minifigs.

The Rhim soldier. I'm fairly pleased with how this guy came out. I took some inspiration from a couple users on MOCPages, particularly
Brian Kescenovitz's Czek and El Barto's Cylons.

Closing shot. Thanks for reading, your comments/criticism would be greatly appreciated!

Quoting A Plastic Infinity (That is, endless Legos.) Great MOC! That Rhim design is top-notch, love the solution for it's feet! Perhaps, if you're planning on making more of THEM, you should use more light bley if you can, it would look fantastic. :D
Yeah, I'm hoping to get some more of the parts in light bley sometime soon. Thanks the review, I really appreciate it. =)

Quoting Professor Creativity Love the build, the only advice that I have is that the stream is kind of bland if you catch my drift, sort of needs some mixed up trans. pieces. Cheese slopes, 1x2 blue trans. and 1x1 circular tiles, are my recommendations. The other part of advice..... KEEP IT UP!
Thanks, Professor. =) I can see what you mean about the stream. Of course, little creeks like this one usually don't look blue in real life, so maybe some small rocks could improve it?
