In the years before I joined mocpages, My brother and I would from time to time build up fleets and "attack" each other... it was all good fun. and before that, my brother and some of his friends did the same thing. and rules were developed.

each set of colors was designated as an element, with solid being basic, and the power of each transparent color being greater with the rarity of each color.

technic peices were nanite dispensors, which could penetrate any shield except nanite shields and would just EAT A CAPITAL SHIP IN SECONDS!!!

pilots were divided into 5 levels, and each level could do different things with thier ship, or go farther, turn, and fire more in a single turn.

the distance and maneuverability of a ship also depended on the quality of the engines.

technology was needed to use and do just about everything in these wars, and the speed at which you could get a technology dependind on the size of your research facility, my brother, at the end of the first wars, had a facility that could gain a technology every hour.

round 2x2 peices were shield generators, and had, therefore, shield points. the number of shield points your ship had would rise with the number of generators you had, and each element had a different number of points on thier own.

In remembrance of the old games, I try to build all my ships according to the rules, with the x-03 and its modifications being the closest.

This is just a summary, an error on the page the first time i tried putting this up kept me from putting in more information... so is you want to use my rules, be creative.
