About this creation

Please don't rate 'cause it is certainly not mine.

The facial expressions of Lego figures have become angrier than it used to be. New Zealand researchers gathered figures from 1975 to 2010. The year 1989 was an important tipping point according to them.

The first Lego-little faces all had the same smile, but as of 1989 started to resurface hundreds of emotions. Since then, the Lego-males and Lego-females becoming angrier begin looking. "Children who play with Lego today, will not only remember smileys, but also anger and fear in the expressions of the figures", the researchers say.

"The most frequent facial expressions are happiness and anger. With the time is the number of cheerful little faces fall. " Of course, Lego today is no longer the same as thirty years ago. There are sets of figures from Harry Potter and from pirate movies. As a result, many figurines also possess weapons go. "That way will Lego might not be able to maintain his positive reputation."

The typical yellow faces of the figures have now been replaced by a variety of skin colors, brands the researchers further. the Danish toy maker has already sold about four billion figurines.

I've never understood minifigs: I've always stored them away, yet they constantly keep on smiling....
