Quoting Lego Jim .... Dude this is cool. I must not have ever checked it out. The bottom side is awesome. Great work just like the rest.
Thanks Jim! That bird was tough to do in that color not that many parts to choose from.

Quoting Fell Skyhawk A beautiful rendition of probably my most favorite starship from the original series. Excellent work.
Thank you very much Fell Skyhawk! I really like this ship too. It was difficult to scale this ship since there was never an official scale applied to it. I've seen it almost as large as Enterprise and as small as half the size of the Enterprise's primary hull which I thought was intriguing after all you didn't see a lot if crew members and the bridge was so small. So in the end I went in the middle.

Quoting Dustin Werner Looks just like I remember it from the series. The bird on the bottom is spot on.
Thank you very much! This one was hard because the original filming model was destroyed in a fire, and there was never an official scale applied to the vessel. Thanks again David

Quoting Misa Nikolic Love it... another terrific but sadly underrated ship. It's on my list for the Minifig scale treatment!
Thanks again! I can't wait to see a minifig scale version. That was one of my problems with this ship. There was never an official scale put to this ship.

Quoting Stephan N Again, I can just say, madness. even the eagle on the hull can be seen well. how long do you need for such a star trek MOC?
The bird of prey took me about 2 weeks , Enterprise was 2 months and the battlecruiser took about 3 weeks but I don't work on them every day. Thanks again Stephan!

The bird of prey under the ship was a lot of trial and error. Thank you Scott for checking out all my trek ships!

Quoting Kurt MOC I agree with Marty: a rare bird indeed. Not my favourite Star Trek ship but you did a great job with the detailing.
This one was really difficult to scale since the original model burned up in a fire so I downloaded as many photos as I could find to get a feel for it but in the end I just guessed. Thanks again for checking out all my Star Trek ships.

This one from a scale perspective was hard. It was never officially scaled and the filming model was lost in a fire sadly. Thanks Marty!

Quoting Raymond Drum The pie pan with wings! (An affectionate nickname used by those who play/played Star Fleet Battles.) You did a beautiful job. I really like the eagle on the bottom of the hull, which is how it got it's alternate name of the 'War Eagle'.
Thank you, this one was hard because the original studio model was destroyed in a fire, and they never scaled this ship to the enterprise. Glad you like it

Quoting El Barto ! You are the MAN for classic Trek builds! And what kills me is that you're not using any really special pieces, other than some of the colors, or tiling the whole thing. They are all such convincing models. Awesome work, Dude!
That's a great compliment I really appreciate that thank you

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Itīs hard to tell how awesome this really is! Letīs face it, it looks like a movie prop and the bird on the belly really adds to that feel! Even though the overall design of the ship is pretty clean, there are some sweet details, like the bussard collectors, or the bridge section. Thanks for sharing this awesome piece of work with us! ~Marc
