Alaskan Republic - Fort Eagle
My territorial defense power for Decisive Action.
About this creation
When the Alaskan Republic became independent, it quickly took measures to protect itself from its rapidly expanding neighbors. One of the most drastic of these involved the construction of large steel barricades on every major highway into Republic territory. Fort Eagle was constructed on the Alaskan Highway where it crosses through Eagle Pass.

To defend against enemy aircraft flying through the narrow pass, anti-aircraft guns were erected on all the forts. These two guns are encased in re-circulating coolant, necessary even in Alaska's frigid climate.

To defend against land-bourn invasions, Fort Eagle has three mounted heavy machine guns
and a rotating cannon in a fixed turret. Together, they are capable of sweeping the road of any invader short of a heavy tank.

For scouting sorties far down the deserted interstate, this dirt bike is wheeled out. The rider, Jack Yord, has added a raucous modified muffler to the bike, but Lieutenant Watkins thoroughly disapproves of the racket it makes. The only way that Jack has kept the muffler on his bike was to paint patriotic stripes in the republic's national colors on it. Reluctantly, Watkins allowed the bike's muffler to stay.

For longer-range sorties than the motorcycle can complete, this miniature blimp is used. Although tiny, it is still able to carry a pilot and a bit of equipment for reconnaissance missions.

Its tiny 1.5 horsepower engine has just enough power to push the blimp through the skies, but when a storm rolls through the mountains, it must land quickly or risk a deadly crash.

For those who've never heard of Decisive Action, it is a war game group on MOCpages in which the players build certain military assets, then have them ranked by other users. The more ratings a vehicle has on MOCpages, the better it performs in Decisive Action. So, if you like this, give it a rating. If you think it's bad, give it a rating. Thank you!

Viburna Omnia Vincint!

(P.S. This will be my last post for the next few weeks; I will be on a ten-day backpacking trip at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico!)

The "Welcome to Alaska!" sign has been replaced with a speed limit "50" sign from an official Lego set.

Congratulations on your effort so far and enjoy your trip, it sounds like fun. Unless I miss my guess, that cool Welcome to Alaska sticker is non-LEGO. If it is not LEGO, then I have to DQ this MOC. If it is, just tell me which set it comes from. Good luck!.

Sorry about that. I thought the non-Lego parts rule only applied to molded pieces. Fresh photos will be posted soon without the sign.
