Captain Churchill's Tank
A fully functional, remote controlled Technic tank; vanquishing enemies, for the use of.
About this creation

Decisive Action.

NATION: The Communist Collective Of Curious People

LAND OFFENSIVE POWER

Attention world: The CCCP has firepower and it's coming to get you!

Fully functional and motorized, using Technic Power Functions parts, with 2 x XL motors for drive and steering (one each side) and 2 x M, one each for turret rotation - full 360 degrees - and raising/lowering the gun.

There's also full independent suspension, using the Christie system, which I learned about a while ago on a tank moc by Tom Simon. It's basically L-shaped trailing arms that act as a bell crank on the angled spring. Works well.

Ready to fire...

Hatches for driver and gunner.

The view the CCCP's enemies will have of it...

... after Captain Doris has run them over. Honestly, I wouldn't trust her with a Nissan Micra, let alone this.

Here she comes now...

AARRRGGGHHH!

'What are you worried about dear. It's parked!'

Coming soon to a country near you.

A short video of the tank working can be found here.

As usual, excellent work! And the motors, that adds even more bang to this MOC! This is truly excellent, and a well deserved 5/5!

Quoting David Roberts Wow! this must be one of the biggest MOCs in the whole DA competition. I imagine that it could squish all of the other tanks with ease.
Here's hoping... Thanks David.

Oh! -I remember seeing this as a thumbnail some days ago, but being (momentarilly) far away form military MOCs, didn┤t investigate further. -And the CCCP didnt ring a bell either. Very curious project you have in the making! The tank looks very good. It┤s an impressive construction with working suspension with THAT kind of weight riding on top of it. (I dont know if I am talking about the vehicle, or the two yellow cheeseslopes on one of the maxifigs...)

Oh come on, give us a video! :D Either way a lovely piece of work. Baring your signature with all those studs shown and looking quite retro!

General Barrett. I am forced to reveres my ruling regarding your inclusion of a video for this TANK MOC posting. I went back and realized that some builders have had videos up for some time, so belated as it is... by all means, use video. Sorry for the flip flop.

Love it. This one definitely looks like a male, and I'm not being gross (for once). Nick supplied the Churchill ref. Y'all can look up what a male tank means.

You'e a monster! I didn't think anyone would be able to really challenge Shifu, but you might be the just the General for the job. Cool and classy build, although like I said on Flickr, you really missed a chance to throw down some smack on the audio...next time? You are specifications accurate, good luck!

Looks epic, dude! This is one of the most traditional looking tanks in the game, and I was worried that the members were starting to stray a bit to the futuristic side, but I'm glad to see some people are sticking to modern times! Great job on the tank too, but maybe you should just let granny stick to knitting and killing, not driving...
  June 24, 2013
You know Nick, I have to say, that is how you build a tank! I can no longer play by any set of standards by not giving your builds a smiley. On the field, we are considered enemies; but, with builds like this, I have to stand up and garner a respectful salute. Bravo, sir. Bravo.

Blam! Probably the biggest tank in the game, with the styling of a Chieftain or Challenger, and fully functional to boot. Great use of the red wall too - simply awesome stuff.

Oh man, I am very glad that we started on separate continents. This beast is downright terrifying - your last moment is seeing the innocent smile behind the featureless steel of your death. Brilliantly massive build with classic studlyness, and kudos on the motorization.
