On the last day of 2012 (a day after my birthday), I posted what is currently the smallest lego transformable optimus prime. Well, sort of the smallest and sort of not. While some people have made smaller versions, they are barely recognisable. They don't even have legs! Mine had clear articulation between each of the joints. I did make a version 2 a while ago, and I was planning on posting it. However the laptop I was using failed. I'm still using the temporary replacement laptop today! [ :( ] Oh well, I suppose this computer will do fine for the photos I'm taking now...
About this creation

The upgrades from the previous version include:
  • Added arm plugs that allow the addition of the DIAclone armor. Yes, I also made the DIAclone upgrade, and it was lost with the computer fail...

  • Binocular pieces have been added as hands, and allow the addition of weapons.

  • The waist has been slightly altered, allowing for the grill and the legs to face forward.

  • Another connector on the back allows for the DIAclone armor as well.

I wish I had a blue clip for the head, but grey works fine for now.

The transformation is exactly the same as before. No changes here.

Maybe, if I make a version three, I'll make wheels for him.

The only issue I have is that they screwed up my order and replaced the red 1x1 flat tiles with black ones. Oh well, life's life.

The irony is that I was about to call customer support because my Jor El minifigure hadn't arrived, but he arrived that afternoon! In another box! The box is big enough to house all my 50-something minifigures. That's a waste of packaging, considering how they probably could've shipped it in one order...

COMING SOON! THE MAIN EVENT! GET READY FOR THE GLORIOUS SPECTRE, TOMMOROW!!!!!

Click HERE to see the original, or HERE to download instructions on how to build the trailer. Yes, the trailer works with both versions...

And have just found yours. I haven't put it on MOC yet, but here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYD5jHTvjJE theres a g1 and movie version, they are pretty so so...

Quoting Jack K Well I think your title may be accurate. :)
It is, within reason. There are smaller versions, but they're either partformers (transformers that involve taking them apart and putting them back together) or barely recognisable.

Quoting Commander Spencer, Ultimate Bionicle Fan Nice, but I've made smaller. However, your at least manages to look like Prime, as mine was just a red brick was blue legs.
That's why I said 'sort of is and sort of not' in the description. It's as small as you can get while still staying recognisable.

Quoting Chris Roach still don't know why anybody wants to hold the title of the smallest "anything" but none the less a fun build!
Funny thing. I built it not knowing it was the smallest, and then I realised it was!
