Entry to the 2013 Bio Cup round 1
About this creation
Well here is my rather rushed Bio Cup entry.

For this I wanted a very agile looking Toa with something unique. The thing on his face is a water breather/scuba mask apparatus for fishing. A rather lazy Toa he prefers to surf and fish around his home village but is sort of ready most of the time when duty calls.

Well hope you enjoyed him.

He's something that represents an average build by me.

100 bricks says everyone hates his face thing.

Phos out.

The head is quite well designed, I really like it!

Nice one. Colors are great, and the head is very good. Limbs could use some work, though, specifically, the arms, wich look a bit short, and lower legs, with those exposed technic bits that kinda ruin the look of it. Also, if you could hide that neck socket, it would help (but this is just a nitpick). Overall, still a pretty nice entry, just not your best. 8 points.

Nice entry! The head design is certainly the highlight of the moc, and the presentation is, as usual, very good, but overall I find this less impressive than some of your other works. It feels somewhat lacking. Still, a fine entry! Your score: 7

Quoting Monarth GS First thing to say, very unique face. That color scheme is rare, but functional and I like the looks as if he had a robe of sorts around his waist. The sides and back of the lower legs could be improved though, and I have no idea how that assembly stays together. It looks very flimsy, as if the knees would collapse, but I'm seeing antigravity here. The tires must support them, but I didn't really expect them to be THAT strong :o 8 points my man, 8 points... PS. He needs a fishing rod.
Surprisingly not flimsy at all. There is an axel that keeps it from swinging back and the armour on the front of the leg is held tightly enough between the bow pieces that it doesn't swing forward. It's pretty secure and then the tires add a little more support. I'll get on that fishing rod :D

Very much liked the proportions, if not as much the greeble-closure on the inner limb surfaces and torso. But good organic curves from choice of armor layers and I REALLY like the touch those swords make as melee additions - perfect size-fit, but I really want to see more articulated HANDS in this competition; they'd benefit you here. Custom head is innovative and cool, and I like the colorset. 7 points, and Cheers!~

Quoting [ Chro ]
Quoting Toa Phosphorus ... the ball joint on the wrist lines up with the ball joint for the hip.
That's where the proportion problem is, then... the wrist should be somewhere in the middle or upper thigh, I think.
Ok I'll use that in the future.

Nice one! The mask is surreal, and the body looks nice. The legs look a bit unfinished from the sides, but still look great from the front. The arms may be a little short, but it's not too bad. The brown Visorak feet seem a little awkwardly placed, but I like the MOC in general. Well done, dude!

Quoting Steve The Squid This build had a lot of potential, and I almost think it's great, but two things ruin it for me; the brown visorak feet make it look like the legs go all the way up, and should be turned sideways, and the arms are INSANELY short! Like seriously, they're something like 4 studs too short, that is a serious problem. It helps to look at your own body for reference proportions. Wrists should be mid-thigh, and fingers should almost reach the knee when extended.
About those proportions. The pictures can be a bit tricky because of the way his body is constructed but my general rule is that the ball joint on the wrist lines up with the ball joint for the hip. These arms are a little short but not that bad.

A nice build overall. The lower legs have an interesting design, and I think they work out really well. Good luck! :D

Sorry for the intromission, dear, but what kind of body do you have!? My fingers are still far from the knee when extended! XD I find Moaliki very human-like proportionated. Well, maybe upper arms and lower legs a bit short, but I find the length of the arms pretty accurate in human proportion terms.

Love that face! A bit weird, but it looks nice and the design and idea are wonderful! It's even hard to think how did you get that design. The legs are also great, the HF bones on the lower part surprised me. The skirt and color scheme also fits him well, but I miss a shot of the back anyways... Well, great work and good luck, dear! <3

Dude, what a character! Great visual impact, extremely expressive head, rare color combo. I can't find real defects without being nitpicky, so this is a 9 for you.

Quoting Max W. meh. It's a little basic. The mask is interesting, but the rest of the build seems overly simple.
He's just got lots of potential. He's not my best by any means but I wanted to leave room to add to him in later rounds as they said we'd need our creation for the later rounds.

I seriously like the face thing. You can keep the cash, though.
