Part 6: Freebuild: Falmore Town
This street scene is a chapter in the epic story of the Lands of Mythron (Check out the group, and when it has persuaded you to join up, meet me in the faction of Rainos). I saw a MOC recently that told a very effective story with nothing more than an introduction and a series of pictures, so I will try to do the same here and spare you my usual MOCpages chaos.
About this creation
Steven the crossbowman (black helmet, crossbow) and his ally, William Farrer (green hat), (story found here) arrive in the outskirts of the Mythronian city of Falmor, but not before a mishap involving a waterfall has stopped them from speaking altogether. The two Rainosians approach late in the day, after the already-difficult lives of the residents have been disturbed by watchmen and soldiers rounding up anyone who could possibly be an outlaw (or, failing that, anyone who looks unemployed, foreign, shifty, insane, non-human, or otherwise undesirable) for questioning in the city square. Led by secret signs in a window, the two wandering soldiers of the bull find what they were looking for: a countryman with a band of men who will take them back to their homeland. Unfortunately, he has a job for them to do...

Builder’s note-
Well, that was fun. I made this quick little city scene one afternoon a few weeks ago, and then spent about three more days taking pictures. I was quite happy with the cobblestones and most of the buildings, but I really messed up on defining the boundaries of the MOC. The candle-shop was neatly bisected, only one-quarter of what I imagined later as a twin-gabled stone house showed up in the real world, and the hoardings over the city gate kind of cantilever out into space. Oh, well. I also built a tumbrel for the municipal guard, but I don’t have too much to say on that matter (the watchmen themselves were more entertaining, with their face-masks to protect against knives, their billy-clubs, and the smiles they wore while employing the latter instruments). I hope you enjoyed this scene as much as me, and for those of you who are anticipating my Truce and Justice entry for Mythron, I intend to speed-build one soon. Now, for your viewing entertainment, here are the rest of my pictures:
P.S.- I won’t demand that you comment (writing something meaningful takes time) but please rate this MOC (click a head, wait for the next page to come up, hit the back button… no time at all). My current goal is to get twenty smileys on one creation, and I appreciate every bit of help.

There's just something about this moc...the street, the texturing, that uneven roof on the house to the left....I love it all. Great work! :P

Quoting David the Fire Ninja Jedi Definitely some nice buildings here! Very fitting! Yeah, that building in the air is kinda weird, but hey, it's still awesome! Nice cobblestones! I liked the Mytrhon faction colors in there and the story was easy to follow once I realized the guys were getting taken for questioning, and then you came into the scene. Excellent!
I'm glad my story makes sense this time. I have a suspicion concerning what went wrong on my escape challenge MOC, and I'm likely to fix it one of these days.

Quoting Toa Infernum Wow! Love the street! Amazing work with that! I also love the base, could be even better if you put a sewer or some catacombs under the street. Nice work! :)
Wow, psychic toa powers in action. That was a sewer, with the one real outlaw hiding out. I was trying to keep my story clear, so I left that part (and the sewer details) out. Thanks for the comment.
