The Night Market Below
Beneath the city is a vibrant subculture, flourishing in abandoned subway stations and sewer tunnels. We don't know about them, and they don't care about us.
About this creation

The Night Market Below

This build was mostly inspired by Neil Gaiman's book Neverwhere, but there's a bit of Harry Potter influence as well.

Thanks for looking!

Great lighting in this moc! It really helps to make this a more realistic environment! I feel bad for the poor fellow on that bike! Great job!

A wonderfully built, lit and photographed build. I like the way the railway is built. This build reminds me a lot of the BCC TV series, which unfortunately finished after one season.

Excellent work here all around, Ru! I absolutely love the arched ceiling design, and you captured the old, crumbling, under-city look perfectly.

Quoting Tim C Wow! Excellent, Ru, just excellent. It's funny you said, Neverwhere and Potter, because as soon as I saw it, my first reaction was that it reminded me of a mix between Neverwhere and Nocturn Alley. I was also somewhat expecting to see a dark elf with two scimitars hunting wererats, (if that reference means anything at all to you). Nice work on the photo editing, as well. The lighting gives it the appearance of the dark underbelly of a bustling city. Very well done, Ru. I'm always a fan of your works, and this is one of my favorites.
Thanks you so much Tim! I'm glad you recognized the the influences. You gotta love that unique, dark, modern fantasy feel that both Gaiman's and Rowling's work give off. And Drizzt must be off somewhere else in the Underdark :-P

Quoting Michael Rutherford That scratch build train track (and the use of the goat!) is really cool. The whole MOC screams "No shortcuts!". Every inch, and every detail is build very deliberately, and very well. It really is a feast of details that combine to make a great scene. And the lighting is just another layer of this total commitment to excellence. Well done. (and congrats on TBB!) Attack!
Thanks man!

Yeah, I guess the train tracks are similar. I honestly didn't notice them when I first looked at yours though, and really, it's not that complex of a technique.
