The continent of Africa contains many natural wonders for the traveller to discover. But occasionally, one may come across a more man-made surprise...
About this creation
This is a build for the category 'Space Power' in Michael Rutherford's entertaining warfare and political backstabbing game, Decisive Action!
Recent conquests have given S.E.A.L. the resources to put their own 'eye in the sky,' courtesy of this facility built somewhere in the African savannah, and named after one of the somewhat eccentric group's most revered leaders.
The six dish rectilinear array gives pinpoint tracking of friendly and hostile satellites, and near-instant communication to boot.
A. Mission Control
B. Satellite Laboratory
C. Fuel refinery
D. Radiotelescope signal processing
S.E.A.L.'s satellites are launched using the purpose built Bellamy 5 rocket, affectionately known as 'Blue Thunder'. Note the capsule at the top of main rocket body.
On reaching low earth orbit, the capsule detaches and separates...
...to release the wonder of modern surveillance technology protected inside.
Solar panels and aerials unfold and the OWLink satellite is online!
For a long while I thought I wouldn't be able to work the animal theme into this category, but eventually inspiration struck!
I also enjoyed trying to work in as much forced perspective as possible. Comments and criticisms welcomed; if you like it, please 'Like' it, it helps in the game!

The forced perspective is masterfully done! I also love the satelitte dishes, and the ground they are located on; very, fan shaped! Excellent creation, and a new Favorite builder!
Thank you for the thoughtful comments, and doing me the honor of being added to your favourites!
