Soul Gear Zhytem
For round 2 of Bio-Cup 2013. Enjoy!
About this creation

And then he died...

Or did he..?

When he body was sent to the Red Star, the facilities weren't in

operation. A group of scientists in the Red Star were constructing a

new kind of exo-suit, the Soul Gear. It requires the soul of a being

to operate the suit but needs a host body to don it. The scientists

were searching for a suitable body shape to fit into the Soul Gear,

fortunately for Zhytem, he fitted like a glove.

They installed a soul amplifier to Zhytem's heartlight and removed a

few bits to better fit into the suit. The Soul Gear fired up, Zhytem

was dead, but his soul lived in the suit.

Time for the removal of the body.

Visor goes up.

Head piece goes up.

Leg armour folds aside.

Hands detaches from suit.

Torso armour fold aside in all directions.

And with the power of troublesome and time consuming

plucking out...

... He's out!

This is where it turns to sh!t.

The third ugliest thing you're ever seen.

Removed orange stud and replaced ankle pieces to fit the suit.

The soul amplifier.

Metru shoulder piece taken out.

Oh not again!

I love the heavy feel and how he can actually get out of the suit, this is awesome!

So cool how the suit almost molds around him! Great work dude! Excellent techniques and overall looks badass!

A very nice whole suit. Everything works from the posability to visual appeal. 9 points.

When I first saw this, I thought "That's pretty cool"; when I saw more pictures, it changed to "Wow, that's awesome!" But when I saw the way the suit opened up, I had to pull my jaw up off the ground and shove my eyes back in their sockets. This MOC of yours is truly amazing, and you should be proud of it.

This is exceptional, on the grounds of how well it encloses and fits the pilot's limb-structure (and tightly-fit, too). It just plain looks good, but you squarely met all the Contest guidelines, too. From the bohrok shield as the visor, to the nice technic greebling - just good stuff. 9 points from me.

Cool, love what you've done adding an older MOC to a new one... can't help wondering if Zhytem is gonna be an important part of your story... Hmmm?

This looks amazing! To me, it doesn't look as much as a suit of armour but as an underwater survival and fight suit, you know, with the glass bubble on top and all the tubes on the back. Still awesome!

Dang, now I wish I knew about this contest, cause I am a lifetime fan of anything mecha. The way it unfolds is yet another example of your skills as a MOCist. My only problem is the lack of weapons on this hard suit. Given it's construction however, I get the feeling it's pushing the joints and can hardly stand up. An I don't think it's ugly, hard suits are always a thing of beauty.

Dang! This is just amazing! You've commented on my torso's before, now it's my turn. Really, on both of them it's a great design. The chest is a beaut, and the holsters all across the mech are ingenious. You're one of those people who has managed to take a concept and actually get it to work. Bravo noodles.

Dangit, Noodles, why are you so brilliant!? I love how you managed to take a moc that was so well put together, and somehow managed to use the connection points you had left to attach this mech to. Honestly, I would be happy to have HALF the talent that you've shown you have in your recent mocs. Keep it up! :D

I have to say, this is probably the best looking and most maneuverable suit in the competition so far...as long as Zhytem stays inside it :D It ain't very pretty in its little lump by itself, but the detail and raw power the suit emulates when occupied will probably be able to send you to the next round. Great job!

This is a brilliant suit, and exactly what I've wanted to build for years. I do agree though, it's not the prettiest of things on it's own

Wow, that's brilliant! I was already impressed with it before I found out that the suit is actually a fully operational suit that fits on the wearer! Excellent work.
