New Part: 1x2x2/3 Curved Slope ("Half Bow")
A fantastic new part with amazing possibilities.
About this creation
As announced by TheLegoNoitAll on flickr some time ago there is a new part "in town", the 1x2x2/3 "half bow". It is just like one half of the 1x4x2/3 bow part introduced with the Cars theme.

For now it's only available in a few colours. White is my favourite one, so I ordered 10 of them as soon as I found them on Bricklink of a more or less decent price.

There are some great possibilities to use this part in 4-wide car models.
Here are some examples:

I've already used the part on the rear end of my Porsche 959 and the latest version of my Porsche 964

It's perfect for the front end of some sporty models:
Can't wait to get it in red and blue (and some more colours)...

With version 4.3.6 it has been added to LDD, too, but only in the "Extended Mode". It's the first part in the "curved slope" part group.

This part is like made for me.
I hope you like it as much as I do :-))

Quoting Stormjay Rider Anyone know which set it came from?
There are 6 of the white ones in the 41015 "Dolphine Cruiser" Friends set. More on BrickLink: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=11477&in=S There are also some olive green ones in the 70709 "Hive Crawler", which also has a BrickLink Inventory, now.

Quoting Todd Wilder I'm really needing some of these...Are they the same slope as these? http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=88930 -I.W.
Yes they are. You can confirm that by putting two of the 4x2 slopes (BL #88930) "back to back" and one of the 1x4 bows (BL #93273) next to them. The new 1x2 slope (BL #11477) is exactly one half of the 1x4 bow.

Yes definitely this is a great piece. And specially for you! :D

ps. I don't think I'll buy a 41015 kit just to get them. What am I going to do with a couple of Lego dolphins? Then again, a dolphin car might be cool. A kind of hood ornament!

An amazing part! Thanks for the update, Nils, though I will probably wait until a light bluish grey is released before purchasing it from BL.

It's definitely gonna be useful for the medium (my scale) to smaller scales like yours, I think by 16 wide the bigger curved slopes will do though. Thanks for the mention! :D
