CATEGORY: A) Come up with your own custom superhero and his personal nemesis, fighting each other. Build a vignette, min. 8 x 8, max. 24 x 24, showing the epic fight. A reasonable(!) overhang is allowed, like a plant, arm, leg, etc. A one stud wide black base around your creation is allowed. It counts as overhang.
About this creation
Here, Mr. Stereotype and his nemesis The Iron Giant face off, hurtling each other through random buildings of Metroville.
The Iron Giant's lazar canon is deflected by Mr. Stereotype, who stereotypically can do anything a stereotypical super hero can. Okay, the truth is, it's a lot easier to make epic looking villains than heroes. I was desperate for a protagonist.
I decided to think outside the box for this vignette by tilting the final build.
The vignette de-minifigured. Micro-scale buildings were fun to build!
Collapsing apartment building.
The build is on a 12x12 base surrounded by a black border. The inverted 1x3 slopes are attached to this border and tilt the vignette to the proper viewing angle (red supports are for clarification only, and are not part of the build).
Mr. Stereotype himself. I am so original.
And finally, The Iron Giant! This guy was really the inspiration for the whole build.
Stereotypeman is a great idea as so many superhereos seem to be assembled from a toolkit of standard parts. The Iron Giant looks great, especially his custom arms and the ray coming from his ray gun. Setting the whole scene on an angle really makes it stand out from other builds in this competition.
Ok I like the building on an angle the building look great like there in the distance . The villain is definitely epic but is it me or is the good guy wearing a speedo, cape and a mask that had me rolling . Great job!
Really brilliant work with that angle and the microscale all in one build--that looks pretty complicated! Yet you pulled it off and have a fantastic build here. By the way, great use of the Death Eater mask for the Iron Giant. Good luck!
