HMS Victory
Stalwart of the British navy for 50 years, Admiral Nelson's flagship, now equipped for 21st century warfare...
About this creation

Decisive Action.

SEA OFFENSIVE POWER

The CCCP sneaked into Portsmouth harbour and came away with a prize!

Originally built more than 250 years ago, there's life in the old tub yet.

New anti aircraft guns. We had to take away the swivelling capability after Sergeant Craftmine shot away half the rigging...

92 cannons... now firing explosive charges - hot enough to grill bacon!

Lifeboats. Just in case any enemies should happen to pierce our mighty wooden hull.

More guns. Howitzers, or are they bazookas....

The lower part of the hull that's under water is separate from the main ship, which slots on top.

Sail power probably not quite enough in this age, so we've added a pair of nuclear engines. There's a pair of torpedoes in front of them as well. A reactor on a wooden ship.... what could possibly go wrong ?

Maybe we should rename this the SS Chernobyl...

The CCCP is ready to rule the waves with it's new (old) flagship.

Umm, I'm not too sure how effective a wooden ship would be in combat against metal ones (says the guy who builds 50's stile cars that he claims are competing with modern ones) Anyway, looks really great, an excellent retro battleship. I'm amazed at the amount of detail you put into the weaponry and sails. Nice humor on the webpage too. ;) Epic ship!

Quoting Maxime MaxSamAlex Great ship, I guess the only thing not modernized is the rum... What is this "war game?" I want to join too...
Thanks Maxime. It's too late to join the game now, but it'll run next year and I can recommend it!

Quoting Henrik Jensen This is really great Work. I love your brickish sails, and the hull shape. But I don´t understand the gimmick with these modern weapon. In my opion they don´t belong there. With a Little more rigging it could be exellent.
Thanks Henrik. You're probably right about the modern weapons; they're there for the war game I built this for and are easily removable.

It's very interesting to see you do something else by keeping your style. It is also rare to see a model of this kind of boat without using the standard boat platform. You really took time and effort here... as always, of course! :D

Wow, Nick, that's awesome! I wouldn't expect a ship like this built by you, you really surpised me with this beauty. I love the "little" modifications you added for the modern warfare. lol, I used to think you where a car guy, but, that was a long time ago, after the superb houses, it shattered those theories to bits, lol, so, it s your first ship? and people figure it s from a pro like Sebeus? lol, it goes without saying how fine you did here, lol, nevertheless, those sails impressed me, they look amazing! and you 'packed' them too, showing how versatile the technique is, how nice and brilliant! me, I love your uncanny imagination to add modern weapons to such an antique ship, torpedoes, and cannons, as for style, these little vintage windows add a lot of charm and distinction to this glorious ship, is sam on board? with that much guns...it s bound to get ugly...lol, bravo Nick!

Yeah this is really great, normally I just like peoples creations as I don't have that much free time anymore but this definitely deserves a proper comment. First off its the best ship in DA, "possibly one of the best on the pages" That's mostly because I love sail ships from back in the day, but the amount of detailing, and how you made the sails definitely deserves praise 5*.

Wow! What a beautiful build! It reminds me of something I saw in the eighties as a kid, perhaps in the Lego Builders Club Magazine? The brilliant brick-built sails look great, as does the stern gallery made of windows and headlight bricks. I also like the simple way that you've made the guns and their hatches and the way that she splits in two to be in the sea. Appropriately I'm typing this whilst listening to Patrick O'Brian on the radio! Good luck in your battles!

The billowing sails are great. The sneaky modifications across the ship are all really goo; especially the side mounted torpedoes. The build at the rear of the ship is may favourite part though.

You scoundrel! That is absolutely glorious!!! Perfect in every detail. Love the brick built sails and, of course, the 3 tiers of cannons. Beyond formidable!
