What happens when you are playing with trans plates making a ‘stained glass’ window with your daughter when a shipment of Lego books arrives from England?
You plan a ‘book burning’ of course.
Here we go.
This is the East wall of the library which catches the morning sun and lights-up the ‘Creator’ every morning. The Goddess created all in Basmentonia and all in the House.
Monk Gregor Mendel is the librarian and has collected books/writings from all across the land that supports the existence of the creator. For years he has guarded his collection with his long-time friend Sampson.
Sampson is a dwarf from the mines of Gardenstone. He and Gregor had met long ago on an adventure to search for gold in Mailboxland when Gregor had rescued Sampson from the clutches of the evil troll Redtrucksy. Redtrucksy had captured Sampson and was about to gut him when Gregor took out the troll’s left eye and rescued Sampson; ever since Sampson has refused to leave Gregor’s side.
Today finds Sampson disarmed and Gregor standing sadly by as the evil lieutenant of Baron Dtratsab Arch-Angel of the order C.Darwin uses his powers to destroy the written works about the creator. The Darwinian’s believe in the concept of chaos. They believe that the minifig has spontaneously evolved from lesser plastic creatures that inhabit the House. The Arch-Angel has made it his quest to destroy all works that relate to this creationism.
Using his powers, the Arch-Angel has brought the books out to the East wall and has lit them on fire in effigy to the ‘Creator’ who he has sworn to renounce. He will allow no other word, than that of Darwin – his true lord and master. The Arch-Angel’s mantra has always been “Believe in evolution for it is the true word; those that don’t believe will be made to suffer for the life of their genes”.
At any rate (as I am fond of saying), This is my daughter’s and my first attempt at a ‘stained glass’ window. My princess is drawing potential windows as I type this, and any future iteration will be incorporated in to my LOTR battle scene.
My daughter will create the next ‘stained glass’ window and yes I realize this one looks like Maggie from the Simpsons.
I will be working on some real creations soon, but I hope you enjoy this one – it was certainly created spontaneously (less than an hour).
