Wow, haven't been on here in a long time. So I am back, I have a bigger home. Which means a lot of the stuff I mentioned I owned and was in storage, is now out of storage.
Just like this Dunelizard style 1 from the online game Star Wars Galaxies that my younger brother, Sno- Man, built using my poor LDD instructions that I showed in the previous LDD creation of this. I went ahead and made it stronger and it is now able to hold the weight of the long engine that sticks out the back. Also the intake is stronger too... as my brother was having issues with it. But with those fixes, I can now easily pick it up and it won't crumple on me.
As you can see, it is a fairly big fighter compared to a standard Lego dude.
The underside. You can see how I simply used Lego chains to secure the engine. With them matching the surrounding colors, it is easy to have blend in.
A good side profile. I like how the light shadows the rest of the fighter.
Front shot showing the intake. It is decent for now.
A side shot showing how much longer it is to my style 2. I love how big they are.
One thing I still have to do of course (same with the style 2...) is buy those dang flat pieces to get rid of the majority of the studs.
Quoting David Alexander Smith
Lovely chunky fighter. The plate wings shape and depth look convincing. This has nice original feel.
Thank you! Yes, definitely don't see a lot of people building these sort of ships. Might end up replacing a lot of the plates and going studless with both this ship and the style 2 version. It just might become more fragile if I do that. Other then that, I love how it turned out. It's a sizable ship, but only has 2 sets of blasters and a missile launcher. Kind of like a poor man's ship.
