5867 - Classic Roadster
Only using the pieces from Creator set 5867. Loosely based on a Corvette C1, yes another Corvette ;).
About this creation
My second quick alternative from this fantastic little set. Not my best but a bit of fun whilst on holiday a few weeks ago.

Oh I miss that this summer. Very original model, especially after the Nathanael flooding of this set ;-) No instructions for kids or dummies like me ?

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) Yup, looks like a vette from the rear! But... I hope I'm not going to get in trouble... it looks a bit like an Edsel from the front! I know... if Edsel had lasted, and they made a sports car version, this is it! Am I in trouble now? ;)
...Oh Topsy you could never be in trouble with me. I see what you mean it does look like an Edsel, just donít tell anyone else ;)

Slick build, nothing like a fresh from the set windscreen to make a car shine.

Quoting Ryan Link Wow, looks great! And I like how different it is from your previous alternate for this set. It really shows how skilled you are at using a specific set of pieces, something I struggle with. Well done!
Thanks Ryan that is very kind of you.

@ Nils and Nathanael - thanks for the compliments I am flattered. Nathanael your techniques are far superior and your car is beautiful, this is a far simpler model, but I guess there is something to be said for simple 'studs up' building. Variety is the spice of life (and lego building) ;).

Wow, that's cool, it really looks quite like a C1 Corvette, especially the front grill. It's amazing how you and Nathanael built cars from the same set and with similar shapes but with such different building techniques. Great job! :-))

A great little build! Looks nice all around. Like the grille a lot! Might even prefer this over my Classic car version, which was mainly an experiment on upside-down building...

it looks good, but, I don t know how you can resist not adding the parts to make it perfect, a few more parts and different windshield would have completed the great job you did with the lines and trunk, why do that when it could have done the distance? I hope your moving went well by the way, do you have more space to build now? a creator s corner?
