The Secret Of The Rock
Not all rocks can be trusted...
About this creation
This is for the undersea-themed contest for The Contest Group, the group is HERE.

This may look like an ordinary undersea rock, but...

When you open it, it reveals...

TREASURE!!

The part under the sand is ugly, so it's best to hide this part.
I mainly want to just show off the S.N.O.T. trick that you can kinda see...

Alright, yes, I photoshopped. BUT, it's minor. I photoshop backgrounds into my creations to
hide MY FLOOR, and to make it look nicer. I also wanted to hide the under part on all but the last image, because it's UGLY. I would NEVER photoshop Lego elements into a creation that aren't there. All the Lego's are legit. And if you think these creations seem a little blue, I added some transparent blue to help add in to the theme!

Thank you for viewing,
Pikminfreak.

Quoting MCLegoboy ! Originality: 4 Needs more scenery. Don't just build a rock, add some more stuff around it. Sell the undwater stuff. Techniques: 4 The SNOT is well and good, but while builds may be ugly, there is always the option of hiding the ugly stuff with other bricks. Leave a section that can be removed to show the ugly stuff as a surprise as to how you acchieved the angles or whatever. Presentation: 4 The write up is a bit weird, but I really just want to focus on the images. Nice job just keeping it a single color for the background, but seriously, a few pices of white paper can make a difference. One or two on the horizontal surface and one or two up a gainst a box or even just any white thing that can be used as a backdrop can make a difference and then you don't have to worry about having to edit images with a clean background. Total: 12/25
I do what I want background-wise, and I WOULD have made more "scenery" but I needed lots of sand(tan), which I DO NOT HAVE...

Originality: 6/10. I like the idea for hidden treasure, but its not quite as good as some of the others in this contest. Also, this part of the scoring is supposed to be based on the build as a whole, so covering up the base with Photoshop because you think it's ugly is not very helpful. (Many people like to build a solid black wall around the base if the have to disguise something, if this helps in the future.) Techniques: 5/10. You have some nice features like the opening rock and the SNOT, but both are relatively basic. Presentation: 3/5. You have the required link to the Contest Group, so credit for that. However, the captions are a bit too choppy and have too much capitalization for my tastes. Also, this hasn't been posted to The Contest Group. Overall, a pretty good job!
