About this creation
Bio Cup round 4 Entry
Topic: Titanize this! Make your character a titan!
Opponent: Everyone Else

Well guys here he is! Enjoy!

Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Meanwhile in the Hero Factory Universe the heroes have discovered a strange portal. To investigate they have built a special hero equipped to deal with the intense environment of the portal. Meet Johnny Journey!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Ready for the portal he sprints towards it!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Unfortunately a miscalculation was made. The forces of the portal go to work on Mr Journey.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
He has been transformed into a monstrosity and spit out in the Bionicle Universe!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
He lands in Moaliki's village and begins to murder hundreds of matoran. Moaliki can only watch in horror.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
He realizes there is only one thing left to do. He rushes to the nearest pool of energized protodermis...
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
And takes the plunge. As soon has he enters the smooth liquid he knows he won't be destroyed. He can't be. The mystical substance starts to take effect. It transforms him into a Toa Nuva but does not stop there. It keeps going. And out of the goop he emerges...
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
As Moaliki Nuva? No MEGALIKI NUVA!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
With one swift blow he strikes down the mighty hero monster.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
He is victorious! Until next time...
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Well here he is! Hope you all enjoyed the little comic! Isn't he glorious! Lets go have a closer look!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
His feet are a little strange looking but I think they function well and look similar to Moaliki's (or Miniliki as i've taken to calling him) feet.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Lower legs are one of my favourite parts. I had a lot of trouble building them but they worked really well i think.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Normally I wouldn't have put silver here but i'm still cursing myself for using DARK FREAKING TAN which i don't have much of.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I think the waist looks pretty good. One of my favourite parts is how i used the visorak heads to replace the visorak feet from the original.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I love how filled in this is. It's thick, flexible and i just love those hydraulic pieces. Also the blue bits look really nice.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
His shoulders.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I'm really happy with how his head turned out.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Upper arms look pretty nice.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I'm pretty sure that the metru torso arms are shadowgear's idea but i'm not 100% sure. Anyway they work really well and allow me to use more tan.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Fingers!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
A shot of the arm detail on the inside.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
His back.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
His rear end. I love design i used to give him strength in his hips and give him flexibility.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I modified his hip design for his shoulders.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Back of his head.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Some poses!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Looking epic.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
I'm sorry judges but there was just no way I could let little Moaliki here die :D
So here they are together!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Ya!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
His sword has also been upsized.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Better shot of the Sword.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
One last poster shot.
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Wave goodbye!
Megaliki Nuva: The Colossus
Hehehe. I Build his little head into his big head. Don't interpret this wrong though. Its not like a helmet or anything. I just build his head around his smaller head for fun.

Anyway hope you all enjoyed!

Thanks for looking

I don't want to be mean because I can see you worked really hard on this moc. I'm just not a fan of the feet, the head and a few areas of this moc seems a bit too "technic". don't get me wrong, it's an amazing moc. I just don't 100% see the similarities, especially with the changed colors in many areas. You picked a tricky character to begin with. The end results are impressive... I'm just (personally) not the biggest fan of this. 4.5/5 (5)

Quoting S H Very good! I was looking through your mocs, and I noticed that very few of them have hero factory pieces. This gives them more of a technic-y look which is different than the style that I normally use (more hero factory). Is this because you prefer the look of older bionicles? I was just curious XD
Good too see you return! Everyone seems to be coming back! I think I prefer the look of old Bionicle simply because I have more of it and because I find the textures less interesting. Yes some of them have texture but lots of the parts are made up of flat angles. I find Bionicle Parts much less refined and I think they can add a level of detail hard to find with hero factory pieces. You I find are one of the few people who seem to be able to pull of that fine line of detail with hero factory and you create some astounding creations. One last contributing factor to my heavy use of Bionicle is because of the colours. Unfortunatly hero factory doesn't have many of the Toa Metru year colours and those are some of my favourite. Thanks for your comment!

This looks quite amazing. I like the style, the well-considered color placement and the very unique head. Possibly the only things lacking that I can think of are the demonstration of articulation of the legs, posable hands and a big-455 fishing rod just for kicks. 9 points.

Great entry. Good technique and a nice rendition of the character. Its different, but still recognizable. The head is specially good (alhtough I'm not a fan of the flex tubes just hanging back there). Feet seem a bit too flat, but other than that, not much to add here. A solid 9.

Certainly one of the best entries of the round, if not the best! The build is great, and so is the design, remaining very faithful to the original character! This is the kind of entry I was looking for in this round! The only thing preventing you from getting a 10 is perhaps his apparent lack of poseability in the legs. They seem to be very stiff. Anyway, well done man! You've been doing exquisitely well in the contest!

Love it all. The classic style details and liberal use of hordika/visorak pieces are just wonderful. I'm a little skeptical on some areas, mostly ankles on the thinness (for the sake of poseability) and the knee area on whether there is good poseability there at all. I'll assume there is despite the single leg pose. I'll give you 9 points.

Quoting Glorified Pessimist Saw the WIP pics, and I thought they were amazing. I do have one question though, do you have enough pieces left in your collection to effectively participate in the next round? Holy cow. Can't find the reply button, MOCpages is messing with me. 200 ball pieces, that's insane, along with everything you said in your reply. I don't even have 50 total ball joints, let alone 200! Good luck!
And to you as well!

My favorite entry this round. The adaptation of the character is perfect, size and style are amazing. An entry with real charisma. 10 points.

Quoting Clever Crowe This is one SOLID build, TP. All that retro greeble has given it a look somewhat reminiscent of an crustacean's pitted carapace; a look I like. Limbs all filled nicely, perhaps restricting flexion somewhat, but striking nonetheless. 8 points, and well done!
Thank you very much CC. But I was wondering if you could perhaps give me a little more direction on what you didn't like in the model.

Wow, this guy is incredible! I love how all of the parts go together to make something this intricate and complex! *I'm a complexity lover.* The feet seem a little flat, but I guess it's alright. Btw, is it hard to pose him with only one connection joint for the ankle?

Looks nice, but as I said on flickr, he seems less like a big Moaliki, and more like Moaliki's brother or something. Also that's not dark tan, it's "dark flesh"- dark tan is Avak's accent color.

Quoting Ben Cossy Must admit I wasn't liking where this was going in the WIP pictures, but now it actually looks very nice! Great job on making the MOC look compact and pretty, great stuff. I do feel the fingers are a little small compared to everything though. Anyway good job :)
Thanks man. :) We need to talk more.

Amazing! This blows my entry out of the water and into orbit! It blows my mind having that many pieces and incorporating them so well! Well done!

THAT. IS. AMAZING. This has some of the best building techniques I've seen, and looks fantastic! There's nothing I can complain about :D
