The Deliverance
After the Retribution’s maiden voyage, Dr. Whackemoff’s next commission was to create a supporting fleet for the S.I.D.’s newest warship. The first order of business called for an escort class frigate that could pull off maneuvers akin to a fighter while still being able to cripple or at least survive any run-ins with larger enemy warships. Once again Dr. Whackemoff’s cerebral cauldron berthed an unholy vessel capable of getting the job done.
About this creation

Its stats are:

Mass: 136,000 metric tons
Length: 319 meters
Crew: 48
Marines: 12
Fighter Pilots: 0
Passengers: 10
Escape Pods: 24
Cargo: 6,200 metric tons

In order to stand toe to toe with even the deadliest of ships, the Deliverance carries two Gentrex-51B mass drivers. A second generation of the G-47’s carried by the Retribution they fire accurately up to 12,000 kilometers and fire a condensed 375 kilogram cobalt slug. Even though their damage ratio is half of the bigger G-47’s, so is the recharge time. In other words, each gun can be fired every thirty seconds instead of one minute.

Two triple barreled naval laser turrets identical to those found on the Retribution are mounted both on the port and starboard sides of the ship. Two additional twin-barreled heavy laser turrets are mounted fore and aft along with four additional forward mounted heavy laser cannons have been added to provide additional firepower while the G-51’s are not firing.

For point defense, there are eight large caliber laser cannons each mounted in its own turret. Half of them surround the main conning tower while the rest are mounted to the lower tower.

A landing hard-point was installed on the belly conning tower but the decision not to add a corvette was made. It instead serves as a docking bay should the need ever arise.

Here are a few bonus pics showing a size comparison between the two and a couple extra with my Flying Pitchfork tossed in for good measure.

4TH Wall: Okay, well for better or for worse, that’s everything I currently have built. I'll have something new eventually but it may take a while. So stay tuned. I'll be in touch.

A great shape and look to this micro ship. The blend of round bricks and Technic plates works very well indeed. It would be great to use some free software like GIMP used to put it onto a spacey background.

Very neat design! I like the use of those larger technic parts to create nice smooth shapes. That is something I have been trying to do more often myself. Good stuff.

Quoting El Barto ! I think you're due for a new ship in this fleet, Chief! How about "The Johnson" ?
One day perhaps, but not with such a horrendous name as that. I'd sooner name my next boat the "Hasselhoff!"

Thanks for the nod. I didn't think anyone even noticed this old bucket anymore!

Quoting Parrington Levens So cool to see them all together! Dude how's things?
Doing okay overall, I guess. Just going through another one of my old fart-knocker mood swings as usual. I think the doldrums of real life are wearing on me but nothing new there. It's good to see you back though. From where I'm sitting, you were MIA for so long I was starting to think the Dragonne had you stuffed and mounted in their trophy room! Hey I'm sure you're busy but stay in touch as much humanly possible and I'll do my best to do the same as well. Cheers my friend!

Dude, it looks like the Malevolence had a child with the Invisible Hand who got crushed in the trash compactor. Brilliant! Top-notch shaping here, looks great.

Quoting Achintya Prasad Nice work. And Mike, honestly, don't feel bad. You have the terr*ble privilege of creating a brilliant MOC that is hard to top. Don't let that influence your mood. Always know that you can do better, but it won't be easy, and it won't be quick.
Yeah, well I'm one of those types where good is never good enough and I always take it personally when things fall short of expectations. It's just the way I am.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. To be honest I've been kind of moody lately due to my hit and miss (mostly miss) ratings my MOC's have been getting lately. It's been making me feel like I'd lost whatever standing (which wasn't much to begin with) I acquired around these parts. Maybe one day I'll top my previous success stories but even if I don't at least my MOC's still might inspire better ideas from others which is all that really should matter in the end. Once again, thanks and as El Barto noticed, I do enjoy making 'em "...squeal like a piggy" oh yeah. Heh, heh, heh!
