This is my design for the Prancing Pony Inn from The Lord of the Rings the Fellowship of the Ring. I designed the model as if it were an official LEGO set.
About this creation
The front of the Inn. The set has 852 pieces in total.
The set includes the gate to Bree which has a shelter for the gatekeeper to sit in.
The inn features four rooms: the bar and pub tables on the ground floor and two bedrooms upstairs.
Upstairs the bed on the right hand side hides two short swards for the hobbits, and the bed on the left pulls out revealing a secret escape shoot for the hobbits to escape the Ringwraiths.
I have updated the model to include a new feature representing a significant moment in the film: turning the knob on the side of the building reveals the eye of Sauron (which would be a printed element) representing the moment Frodo puts on the ring accidentally and sees it in the room. The resulting redesign of the bar also makes it easier to put the innkeeper behind the counter adjacent to the front door.
The building folds in half like those of the set 10193 Medieval Market Village.
I propose the set includes nine figures: Aragorn (with hood), Frodo, Pippin, Barliman Butterbur, The Gatekeeper, and two Ringwraiths.
