Small Scissors Lift
R&K Technologies & Equipment (RKTECH Equipment) Small Scissors Lift.
About this creation
Another of my RKTECH models. It takes inspiration from some of the lifts I use at work. It is roughly to scale: If a minifigure measures ~6 ft, this lift goes from ~7.5 ft to ~16.5 ft (floor height). The lift has 3 sets of cross arms. The basket has guardrails, a safety chain, a ladder and controls.

Another view.

Basket.

Partially raised.

Raised halfway.

Raised all the way.

Not quite as far as the other one.

Another view raised.

With the demonstrator dude.

I have plans and ideas for several more sizes and types of lifts, as well as some other construction equipment. Coming soon!

Quoting {JOG} Josh O. I emailed you about your SWO prizes and you never got back. I have the minifigs but My store was almost sold out so I was not able to get the two you wanted. Is this ok with you? Josh
Did you spell the email right? It's embarQmail.com, some people accidently put embarGmail.com. About the figs, that's fine, just send whatever two you have.

Quoting Stormjay Rider How goes the garage-installing market?
Pretty good, I've been working quite a bit of overtime - extra $$$ for LEGO sets! :)

Quoting Beardless Dwarf Nice job! I like the color scheme. What is your work?
I work as a garage door servicer/installer. We get some big doors that need lifts so we can reach the top.

Great design, it looks exactly like the real thing! I've actually gotten stuck on top of one of those things before. I was on a field trip for my engineering class. Once the one I was on was at its full height, it wouldn't go back down again so I was stuck on one for an hour. A bucket truck had to rescue me and my friends from the scissor lift. So whenever I see a scissor lift, that is what I think of.

Quoting Achintya Prasad Nice! Did you have to take apart your larger Scissor lift to make this one?
Unfortunately, yes. I do have a large one planned, so this one will probably have to go too. Ah well, it's pretty simple if I ever want to build it again.

Quoting The Journeyman Ranger Nice job! Gratz on the homepage! Just out of curiosity, how did you get the scissors to stay up?
Black friction pegs. You can see them in the center, the outsides have grey frictionless pegs so it doesn't get too stiff.

Quoting Jack K simple yet effective. Great little build. Mind if I borrow some techniques?
Sure, go ahead. Credit would be nice but not essential, it's a fairly simple build.
