Caption #3 - "Stay off the lawn... OR ELSE"
About this creation
This is my little entry for Max and Ian’s contest “Photo this Caption”. Come by and visit here .

I don’t think that there was ever a better way of capturing the notion of “Stay off the lawn… OR ELSE” than the manner in which Clint Eastwood did in the movie “Gran Torino”.

Now, everybody, let’s all say it together: GET OFF MY LAWN!

There, didn’t that feel good?

Thanks for stopping by, and, as always, play well. Especially if you're in Clint's neighborhood. Just sayin'. ;)

Matt

Quoting Scott Bertaut Ha ha! A funny little vig (that not very little). Do you have more pictures? I really want to see that car up close, it looks amazing! Nice.
Thank you Scott. I do have more pics but the contest called for a single shot. The pics were just for posterity and to look at later as they showed some detail and technique. The house doesn't extend any farther than the shot, Clint has no back, and there is no right side of the car. I built them to fit the frame of the final shot. Plus, with the car, I ran out of green pieces and red tiles for the house siding. ;) Trick photography. I might post them just to show how I did it.

Thank you Elk. I'm not sure if I should admit that there is no right side of the car. I actually ran out of green pieces. It was, however, crazy fun to build the front end. It took about 5 tries and, in fact, determined the scale for the whole scene. It's GOTTA have the car! ;) Thanks again.

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist This is absolutely brilliant. The Clint figure is perfect - the cheese eye and unpressed mouth give a ton of character which has me laughing. Really a great MOC, you went all out building not only a figure but a house and car too. That car's spectacular, way more detailed than I'd expect in a creation like this. But man, that face. Hat's off.
Thank you very much Luke. First time trying this scale. Have to say that it is quite enjoyable the detail and feel you can get with the fig, car, and house. Funny thing is that I added so much detail in the car and the house that can't even be seen. Just knowing it's there is very satisfying. Adds a ton of completeness to it, for me anyways. Thanks again, much appreciated.

Thank you Dr. I tried to keep them just out of focus so they would be seen but that it'd be hard to read them. They're all "3"s turned around. I think in the movie it was 238. Thanks for noticing, I tried to be true to the movie. One of my favorite details is the front door which can barely be seen. Oh well. ;)
