(Coruscant, Imperial Intelligence, 48 hours after the Rebel destruction of the Death Star)
(Former-Minister Fitze paced nervously about the Sanctum of Prophet Uzov. His superior had been summoned to the Emperor's throne room to report on how the Rebellion had managed to destroy the Empire's ultimate weapon. It was a meeting Fitze gladly did not attend)
(Suddenly the Prophet burst into the sanctum blasting the shadowtrooper guard with a bolt of lighting)
Uzov- Minister Fitze report! Now!
Fitze- Ye-, yes prophet!
(Uzov's normally calm demeanor was gone, replaced by a fiery rage. He tore the holoprojector from the ground behind him and thrust it out the window in a shower of sparks)
Uzov- Minster, everything we have worked to build here is in jeopardy. The Emperor is blaming Intelligence for the loss of the Death Star!
Uzov- He demands action. We cannot risk waiting any longer. Even now I sense the enemies of the Empire gathering against us.
(Major Kalin pulled a taught military grade glove over his hand)
Uzov- This insurrection has far exceeded its purpose. They must not be allowed to strike again.
(Meredith poured out a pack, weapons spilling over the table)
Kalin- A DC-19 Blaster Rifle? Haven't seen one of these since the Clone Wars.
Meredith- Indeed. They are Republic's finest weaponry.
(Kalin put the blaster down and walked over to Meredith, who sighed as she contemplated the knife in front of her)
Kalin- You know, we don't have to do this. Some secrets are meant to be buried for ever, this is not one we have to revisit.
Meredith- I know Major, and part of me wishes that I could just disappear like before, but I cannot. Something about him... it captivates and inspires. It is no longer my choice, I must do this.
Kalin- I always knew there was some sort of feeling left in you. Come on, let's do this one last mission.
(Kalin collected his things and left the room. Meredith lingered a bit longer, setting a holocommunicator and a letter on the table, before rushing to follow)
Uzov- Minister, I will not let the power we have built for the Prophets be destroyed. These rebels will be destroyed.
Fitze- But, my lord, how? The Rebels have all but disappeared from the galaxy.
Uzov- The Prophets have had a vision, you will go to these coordinates. There you will find the instruments by which we will destroy this rebellion, and if you are successful, you will be granted your freedom.
(Meanwhile on the arctic world of Obroa-Skai, Desmond Ortu peaked out from behind a large pile of crates)
Desmond- Blast it! First there is the infernal cold of this world and now Imperial snowtroopers everywhere!
Boris- That is strange. Obroa-Skai is a neutral and independent world, what could the Empire be doing here, I wonder?
Zita- Forget why they are here, let's just show them that they are not welcome.
(Boris nodded to Desmond who moved around to the edge of the crates)
(Desmond threw a rock, clearly making a sound in the direction of the crates)
Snowtrooper- What was that? Come on, let's check it out.
(As the snowtroopers drew close, Desmond toppled the stack of crates, crushing the snowtroopers under them)
Desmond- Hello there Imperials, allow me to show you the way out.
(Meanwhile, at former Republic Intelligence Complex Zeta-Zero, coordinates unknown)
Kalin- Blast. Hoped we would never have to come back here.
Meredith- It was different time you will recall. The height of the war, the Core Worlds itself were under siege.
Kalin- Yeah, but still, what we did here-
(Kalin looked down, as a trip wire activated alarm klaxons throughout the facility, and the heavy durasteel door slammed shut behind them)
Desmond- Well that was one of the less exciting fights I've been in recently.
Bartolo- Oh, Desmond, I'm beginning to think we should have left you on Jabiim.
Boris- Bartolo, Desmond, please. We have bigger problems. If the Imperials are here our entire mission may be in danger, I will contact Xeno and Basil now.
(Duxn, the Mandalorian Compound)
Boris- Do you read me, over? We have encountered an Imperial presence on Obroa-Skai, what is the status of the delegation.
Xeno- Nothing you cannot handle, I am sure, Master Boris.
Basil- This is not a laughing matter. Obroa-Skai was supposed safe, the perfect place to sign an official pact to declare Rebellion. We lost contact with the delegates not long after you landed, and with Imperials there, I can only assume the worst. They are located at the Monastery of Knowledge, now go, quick!
(Kalin and Meredith rushed through the winding passages of the facility as a metallic computerized voice rang out)
Computer Defense System- You are in trespassing in official Republic Intelligence property. Activating mobile defense units. You will be exterminated!
Kalin- Not even an offer to surrender. What were those mobile defense units again?
(Suddenly a metallic bang came from behind them as assassin droids fell from the ceiling)
Meredith- Genocide droids confiscated from the Confederacy.
Kalin- Genocide droids! Director-
Meredith- Why let them go to waste? No one was ever supposed to discover them anyway.
(Kalin turned around, blasting a droid as he ran)
Meredith- Do not waste your time Major. There is a army of them. We cannot hope to destroy them all.
Kalin- That's not going to stop me from trying!
(The group reached the Monastery of Knowledge at the peak of the mountain. Boris paused examining the torches at the sides of the door)
Boris- These torches are never to be put out, to symbolize the light of knowledge. Something very bad happened here.
(He knocked at the door to no answer)
(Boris pushed the heavy wooden door, creaking it open. An unnaturally frigid breeze rushed out at them)
